I an need of major prayers. Been battling depression on and off for 20 years, Never as bad as the last 3 months. Even thought of suicide. Grew up in an verbal abusive home, and a over protective mother. Have feeling good about myself, I would tell lies. To me the lies were a way of protecting myself from hurt. But now I work with people who really do care about me and want me to get help. Only problem is I can't get help because my mother(who I live with and she controls everything) doesn't believe in getting mental health help. She thinks if I change what I think and watch that I will be ok. I am not ok. I have no one to talk to about all my feelings and my co-workers are starting to think I don't want help. I did tell them all the truth but am afraid that if I don''t talk to someone soon they will never forgive me for not standing up to my mom. NEED PRAYERS!

Hi bgg,

Sorry to hear about your hardships. I will put forth prayers on your behalf to The Lord. It's been a month since your post but I've just found it now. I wonder if there has been any change in the situation over the last month, or is it still much the same?

Remember that Jesus was an encouraging man during His time on earth. He often gave encouragement to people suffering hardships like you are suffering.

Also, the bible is full of encouragement for those who are feeling down and out as a result of hardship. One example is Deuteronomy 31:6 'Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.'

I will ask The Lord to personally intervene into the situation, that He see you through this with the most satisfactory outcome possible, but in the meantime I pray that He would endow you with a great feeling of encouragement to help see you through the end of these dark times in your life.
