Act 22:10 "So I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' And the Lord said to me, 'Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.'
NKJV

I don't know about you, but i am both impatient, and a coward. I don't like to wait to know whats coming next, I want to know my future, and i want to know it NOW! And I'm terrified of stepping out in faith when i can't see whats in front of me. But that's the way God works. He doesn't tell us His whole plan right away. Kind of like a game i once played at youth group, where we were split up into teams and we got our first challenge, like to go and eat a container of ice cream as fast as we could... when we finished the first challenge we would get instructions for the next one. But not before.
God will usually only light the way in front of us, one step at a time.
Imagine trying to go up your basement steps with the lights off, and God is next to you holding a flashlight. God knows you can't see whats in front of you, He knows you want to get out of the dark, creepy basement where the boogieman lives, but He also knows that if He shines the light so far in front of you that you can see steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10..... you would rush up the stairs so fast you would trip, fall, and hurt yourself! So He will only show you the step right in front of you. Only when you have made it up that step in front of you will he show you the next one.
Be patient! And thank God for His wisdom in not showing you everything before hand... lets be honest here. If God were to show us everything before hand, we would screw it all up, and be even more afraid of life, knowing what was lurking right around the bend. Wait for His instructions, and hold on to the precious fact that He knows better than you!

We live on faith and trust. Thats why we go to were the will of God takes us. Jesus is true and faithful . We must have faith in our Lord, for He has already planned out our purpose.
Sometimes things are kept from us, so that the enemy does not know what is planned. The only one God wants to keep in the dark is our enemy Satan.
