I have found that the contemplative practice of Centering Prayer is essential to my sense of groundedness and balance in my emotional life. Twenty minutes per day in the morning really gets things off to a good start.

Seeking His face with a sincere heart for for a few minutes sometimes does well for me.
I personally think that a time limit does not have any affect on the outcome.
The heart in which only God sees and knows does.

Br. Dennis,

I love that you have faithfully set aside a definite time for prayer each morning, and wholeheartedly agree it is the best way to set the tone of the day.
The beautiful thing about Him and prayer, is that God asks a different way from each of us, and all are acceptable to Him. All we have to make sure of is that we are doing as He asks us, not as anyone else is being asked to do it.

I have always thought that prayer is the number one thing. Thanks for posting likewise. :)

Be blessed in His love for you,
Kimberly
