Emotions with Grief
Hello.
I don't want to bother anyone but I was wondering....if anyone else has a hard time with the loss of a loved one. Silly ? I know as I'm sure some of you ...if not everyone...does have a hard time.
Its just...... Oh, I don't know. ....
My dad has been gone almost 9 years now. He died Dec 29th in his sleep at home. My mom found him and woke me up that night so I tried to wake him up but he wouldn't get up. Got my brother, who called 911.....it was no use. Dad was already gone. Its been 9 YEARS and still feels like yesterday.
Then my mom was hit and killed by a car 7 years ago in Nov. on her birthday. I was at work at the time. No one ever expects to get a call like that at work.
Recently lost my elderly neighbor I've known all my life. She was 95. So smart and allert for her age. I told myself when she died that I was not going to allow myself to grieve. Its to painful, but I find myself feel those feelings whether I want to or not.
Well, I dont' know what I'm trying to say. Thanks for reading...

Hi Mokie....
I'm glad you expressed how you feel....my dad has been gone going on 2 years, and I still miss him. I always will, I guess.
You've had a lot of loss in your life...I'm sorry it's keeping you grieving. I know it seems that things can't change, but I believe they can.
The only way is to be close to Jesus...He's the One who came to heal the broken-hearted. (It's in Isaiah 61:1) You will always have memories of the people who have left your life, and always miss them...but you can heal from the deep grief.
I'm glad you came here to the Oasis, one way to start the healing is through fellowship. Feel free to share, and please come to chat when you feel able, we would love to "meet" you.
Hugs and God bless, Kim
