A Emotional Mess

Postby Jonelle » Sat Jul 03, 2010 2:10 pm

Hello everyone,

I never thought I was a emotional person, but now I realize I am. I don't think I get upset easily, but I can get frustrated easily. Anyway my question is what do you do when someone wants to force you to talk to them or pay attention to them? I'm the type of person where if I don't want to be bother I tell that person to leave me alone. I'm also naturally quiet so getting a conversation out of me can be hard. Another thing is, am I being rude if I don't say anything especially if that person is trying to start something with me? I always believed it's best not to say anything to keep myself for saying something I might regret.

Hi jonelle, I don't think your being rude...I think you are just avoiding confrontation which is a good thing. Sometimes people will try to force us to do and say things we shouldn't when we are being emotional so best not to even respond...in my opinion....

luv ya

Hi Jonelle :)

Not sure if I understand your question exactly. Please feel free to respond if I'm missing what you mean.

If you are in public and feel the need to get away from someone or out of a conversation for what ever reason, it is ok to just say, "excuse me please" and walk away, or "It was nice talking to you but I have something I need to do." You do not have to explain anymore to them. And just walk away. :) You do have something you need to do. If you feel the conversation is not best for you, then you need to get out of it. You need to go. It's ok to not answer them when you feel uncomfortable.

When you say "force" a red flag goes up in my mind. If someone is forcing me to say anything, I run. They care trying to take control and corner you so you'll have to talk and who knows what they'll do with the information they pry out of you.

Hope this helps. :)

Love you! *hug*
