Recently I received this word...."its not what you do, but who you are" I did not understand it at all. I have been asking the holy spirit to tell me what this means. A few days later, I had a seed of resentment grow in me because my sister asked me to clean her kitchen. I was upset because her two sons who are grown men call in to work sick, do drugs when she is at work and almost never help her. She only charges them $30 rent a month. The trash can will be overfull and they wont help her at all. I recently came into my sisters life and the lord has shown me that she needs help ...not me.

To make a long story short. (ha ha) I was washing the dishes and cleaning her kitchen while her grown sons slept (It's late afternoon). The more I washed, the more I complained to myself. Finally, I said, "Lord, I am mad, I feel like a servant!!"
Gently, I heard these words......"You are". Wow, It did something to my spirit, I was so excited that God said I WAS his servant and it made me want to clean more and then, I forgot all about my nephews. Hallellujiah, God is Good!

a few weeks ago i was complaining. i have been seeking Him so much the last 3 months and He has been so faithful. i am a stay home mom right now by choice, and will remain so til my 3 year old goes to kindergarten. anyways as i complained about the house being always a mess and complaining that no one ever does anything around the house He reminded me that i am sposed to be doing all things as unto the Lord. yes Holy Spirit thank You for reminding me. and i continued sweeping. and i said i have been seeking u and my purpose in this life for so long. and He showed me that i am a really good cleaner. im like yeah...yuk. but He showed me that He has a plan for me to serve and changed my heart about it \o/

Amazing! Do you ever feel like an Isrealite, you know like even when you have seen all God's miracles in your life....we still complain and grumble.
All we have is this manna! , Anyway as I read your post I see that you have the greatest job on the planet. Being a mom, I think it is facinating that everything your child learns about the world, about God, about the way a leaf feels, about a mom's kiss and hug will be coming from you. It is hard being a human. Everyday I cry, because I know I am an alien in this world and I just want to go home, I want to sit at the banqueting table, I want to see the God, Jesus the Angels, the living water. I want to see the grass and flowers that worship Our Lord. Everyday, I ask the Lord to prepare me, because I want to be presentable for him. I dont want to go to heaven and be ashasmed, I already feel like that here. I keep looking up to heaven and hoping that today will be the day he comes. Please Father, Come get us, this world is so full of evil and I hate it here!. Anyway, I hope you enjoy EVERY MOMENT with your child. It is a gift from God. You are so blessed that you don't even know that God had thought you were worthy and capable to raise his child. Amazing huh?
