loosing your grip?

I was reading in one of my devotionals this morning and the author made a very interesting point... one I've never noticed. So i thought i would share it
* a Days Journey * by Jon Courson ( march 27th devotion )
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God....
Acts 7 : 54-55
Stephen began his sermon by speaking of the God of glory (7:2) He ended his sermon seeing the glory of God. That's the way it always is.
Whenever you start talking to people about some quality of the Lord, by the time you've finished the conversation, you find that very quality in your own heart. It's incredible how that works.
Start telling someone how awesome Jesus is, and by the time you conclude, you'll be totally in awe of Jesus. Start sharing about the God of grace and you'll find yourself receiving the grace of God. That is why i encourage you to share your faith- not because it is a job to do- but because it is a joy to experience.
'I'm so dry.' you say.
When was the last time you talked to someone about Jesus?
'Jesus doesn't seem very real to me.'
When was the last time you got into an interesting full-on dialogue with someone about what you believe?
'I'm just not experiencing joy.'
when was the last time you ministered to someone who was depressed?
'I just don't know if i really have faith.'
When was the last time you shared what faith you do have with someone who had less than you?
Be like Stephen. Share the Lord with others, and you'll be the one to see His glory.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the next time you notice your walk with HIM is weak in some area... Try sharing that subject with someone else... You might suddenly find yourself strengthened, and at peace. Because by ministering to others, God will minister to you, by teaching others, God will teach you, and by blessing others, God will bless you!
