Help!

Postby saint701 » Wed Jul 14, 2010 7:36 pm

Hello All,

YellowAngel
Blessings!

I missed you! Well, could use some help understanding what exactly happened to me last week. I elected to begin writing a column on spirituality on a site entitled examiner, a worldwide news service. My brother took offense at that for no apparent reason...at dinner that evening he flew into an uncontrollable rage, again, for no apparent reason.

I cooked the meal and served it as per usual, making no comments or giving off any bad vibes...my question...did I touch a power or principality governing news commentaries that came upon my brother to thwart my writing effort?

Your thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Filling in the gaps

Postby saint701 » Fri Jul 16, 2010 1:18 pm

Hi All,

YellowAngel
Blessings!

Guess it is time I filled in a few gaps in my story. Years ago my brother had the opportunity to become a born again spirit filled Christian. He rejected the opportunity in favor of a more secure life in the world. However, he does attend church regularly, but believes in a life of good works in the flesh as salvation, not works of grace governed and initiated by the Holy Spirit.

For whatever reason, some 2 months ago, the Lord allowed me to see the various spirits that govern his life as a consequence of his rejection of the Spirit filled life. I was also allowed to see those spirits come upon him and motivate him in his various actions.

At that point the Lord began teaching me how to drive those spirits away from him when their purpose was to bring discord between us...on the day all hell broke loose, I was interrupted in my prayers and failed to accomplish the task necessary to keep the peace.

End of story at this point I guess...am still looking for more direction if any of you would like to share.

Blessings!
Thanks, and Love ya all, Den.

The Larger Lesson

Postby saint701 » Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:42 am

Hi All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Thanks M.D., All, for the wisdom you have shared on my struggles..will add a letter this morning that is rather sobering...I do pray it helps anyone else out there that is going through some of the same stuff I am. Love ya, Den.

Congratulations Son!

Whether you were stressed about the proposal, I was..ha! I assumed she would say yes, as after all, the two of you have been together 4 years...plenty of time to know whether what you have together can be as one for a lifetime. Just remember it is your responsibility to pray for her protection each and every day. The world isn't going to get any better, but worse and worse, and we Christians will be under attack increasingly all our days. Such isn't pleasant news on the heels of your engagement, but the sobering truth is best accepted at the outset, that things can go as well as possible for the two of you and your children. And don't think for a second because things are running smoothly prayer for protection each day isn't needed, as when things are at their best Satan is ready to pounce because it is then we are most prone to let down our guard. We are under constant scrutiny by the enemy.

Yes, we have our angels, but we are the ones with the authority on the earth. They stand and protect when commanded. Otherwise, they will sit. Don't forget that! My recent warfare tribulation came because I didn't get to finish my prayers on the morning of the assault. A higher power than I had previously encountered had come on Donald and driven him to act before I could put up my defenses. Was a tough lesson for me to learn. I had the spirits bound and defeated that had been plaguing him up until that morning, but they went and got reinforcements. The warfare continues, but I now deal with the higher power with the same victory. And I also have David back to help. Donald, however, still hasn't been touched by the Holy Spirit and prayers for his deliverance into the anointing of the Holy Spirit must continue. Why his case is so particularly difficult mystifies me. My only thought about it all is his rejection of the opportunity to be born again and spirit filled years ago in opting for all the world had to offer. Hardening one's heart against the Lord is a difficult thing to be overcome, as so many evil spirits gain strongholds that have to be broken over that person's life, especially if the person in question enjoys the feelings of power the evil spirits bring.

You know I prayed for David, the neighbor across the street whose fellowship I enjoyed until he fell out one night in a lapse into drug use, each morning for 2 months for his restoration and deliverance and got every thing I asked of the Lord through that perseverance. I want you to know that each and every teaching I've sent you is of God for your instruction as much if not more than anyone else I minister to. When I'm gone you are the patriarch of the Cook family and must continue the warfare for our family, Brian and Christy included even though they are only your half brothers and sisters..they are still in our bloodline.

Love and miss you, Dad.

I am a bit puzzled by this statement:
At that point the Lord began teaching me how to drive those spirits away from him when their purpose was to bring discord between us...on the day all hell broke loose, I was interrupted in my prayers and failed to accomplish the task necessary to keep the peace.

I am not trying to judge here, for I don't know you or your situation, but just taking you at your word from your post, if God showed you what to do then why seek help from man? Finish the task that God told you to do and trust in God, for greater is He, that is in you than him that is in the world, you say that you can see the various spirits that are controlling your brother's life, but you have allowed a various spirit to keep you from doing what God has showed you to do. Stand up in the name of the Jesus Christ and finish the job, you and your brother's abundant life depends on it. God said to do this, a spirit said no you can't, so who will you listen to?

Acts 4:
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
KJV

you already know this but at times we need to be reminded of certain things, if God told you to do something, He will never tell someone to do something without providing the means to get the job done, You have the power through the Holy Spirit sent from the Father to finish the job that God has told you to do.

The spirit of envious is here, don't be afraid of how great God might use your brother, for if God uses you to help deliver him to that greatness you will always be part of it, so therefore you will always be right beside your brother, not in front of him or behind him, if God uses you to help someone, and you do it. then how great are you in the eyes of God?

Happy Sunday!

Hello Brother Thaddeus!

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Dear Brother Thaddeus. Thank you for your kind reply. However, if I hadn't cried out for help in areas I am lacking the past month, like strenthening and instruction, those ministry gifts here like you wouldn't be needed now would they? I am happy to humble myself before my brothers and sister on here when I need help.

I've known for quite some time my faith in Jesus is lacking where some things are concerned because I lack knowledge in those areas. I've only been in the service of the Lord a little over a year. What He shows me I share on here. If I feel weak, I cry out for prayer help in strengthening and knowledge.

Thanks again,
*AngelYellow*
