For in much wisdom is much grief

Eccl.1:17-18
And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

With much wisdom really does come much grief. As we grow as Christians and our knowledge increases then so does the sorrow that comes with it. This isn't a bad thing this is a good thing. It shows our eyes have been opened we are not any longer blinded. It shows we have ears to hear, we no longer deaf to the things around us or in our personal lives or in the world we live.

To know much wisdom we see the madness, folly, mistakes we make, it shapes us in wisdom, the more we know the more we see there is to be known. Deep within do we seek knowledge, understanding that we might speak wisdom. The more we see of our own madness, follies and mistakes the more we see we need the Lord's salvation and we may bow on our knees before the Lord and ask, Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit . Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
