At the feet of Jesus

You ever sit around to tell a story to a group of children? All the children gathered around you and sitting at your feet ready to hear the story? They are so eager to hear what you have to say. Then as you're sitting there telling the story two little girls sitting before you in the middle of the group. they begin talking to one another and begin playing around a bit interrupting the rest of the group. Over to the left you see another little child holding a small bag of goodies they were to keep put up but now another child next to them decided they want a piece of candy and they begin sneaking a piece away, while one or two other children realize their friend has some goodies and they are steadily asking if they can have some for themselves. Over to your right there is a little girl somewhat sitting by herself listening carefully to the story but yet she is close enough to the group that one little boy behind her decides to pull one of her pigtails. A few of the other little boys begins to giggle a bit at this. The little girl of course is a bit upset and shouts in a quiet voice STOP IT' and hits at the little boy and tries moving a bit further away from them and a little closer to you as you re reading the story. Half or more of the little girls and boys are in some little way interrupting everyone as you're trying to read this story. You have no choice but to stop for a few seconds and catch everyone's attention and pleads with everyone, shhhhhhhh, be quiet, be still, and listen, only to have some of the same ones to begin acting up again. Some though are sitting still being quiet and listening to all you have to tell them.

The people of this world is much the same way as these little children and they don't even know it. Scripture says, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool' (Is.66:1; Acts 7:49) A day doesn't go by we all are not already before God's Throne. Who's being still and listening to what the Holy Spirit has to tell us? Or how many are allowing the interruptions (ways) of this world pull them away from hearing what the Spirit has to say?

God wants us to be still and know that He is God (Ps 46:10) Who's listening to what the Spirit has to say unto us?

Makes me think of how we are to be as children. How we are His children.

It brought more thoughts but I can't find the right words to explain what it means to me.

Love you angeltears *hug*
