Psa 9:18 But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish.

Those who are needy won't be forgotten. He will come through. The afflicted can gain strength in the hope we find in Him.


Psa 25:3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

We won't be put to shame if we keep our hope in God. Those who have done treacherous things towards us, others, and even God will regret it. We can rest our desire to gain vengeance.


Psa 25:5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

His word guides me and teaches me. I find hope in him not just in the morning when the day is new. Not just at night when the day has ended, but all day. Even when the going is ruff.


Psa 25:21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.

Keep up the good fight. Continue to work out salvation.


Psa 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

I can be strong and take heart because my hope is in the Lord.



Psa 33:17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.

Hmmmm Don't put your hope in material things.


Psa 33:18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

Gods love is unfailing. Smile cause He's got His loving eye on you. Because you respect Him and follow His will.

Psa 33:20 We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.

Wait....patience...trusting in Him.
Help. Something we all can use but so often try to do it all on our own. He wants to help us.
Shield. He'll block those arrows. Those fiery darts. We have no idea how much the Lord protects us from. How many times he's saved us from harm.

Psa 33:22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Unfailing love. Love that never ends. There is nothing we can do that will stop His love towards us.
Rest upon us. When resting in His love there is so much peace.
Put our hope in Him. This world can be troublesome. Even in the midst of trouble we can have hope, through Him and His promise of a brighter future as well as hope that we will come out the other side of this storm.


Psa 37:9 For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

Cut off. Reminds me of trying to make the team. To make this team is a bit easier than trying to make the baseball team. It's not a matter of how well we can get this physical body to work. It rests on the hope we have in Him.



Psa 39:7 "But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.

I'm so thankful we have Him to put our hope in. I feel for those who have no hope. What is there to fear if we have Him. Won't he see to it that His children have the best.

Exact wording spoken three times. Interesting. It makes me wonder why.
When we're down if we focus on the hope we have in God it lifts the soul.
No longer down cast but rejoicing comes.

Psalms 71:5
For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.


I remember when I was 16 ready to end my life and I gave God a chance. I had hope that he would answer a prayer. He did. He made my life so much better than it was.

Psalms 71:14
But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

It's so easy to loose hope when were down. We can get so wrapped up in what's bothering us we forget what he's done in the past.

This song hit me this morning. I posted it here because it brings me hope. Helped me to grab tight to there is more to life than what is seen. There are others who feel empty. Like they are just going through the motions to get through today. Then tomorrow will be the same. It's not his will we live this way. It's such a struggle to keep on smiling when there is so much in today that brings down the spirit. I feel like I have it concurred then somethings happens. I fall and cant' forgive myself or someone does or says something that grieves me. A constant battle. The enemy can't steal my salvation but he can try to steal away my joy. So I reach for the hope I have in Jesus. In God. The one who loves us more than we can ever comprehend. My prayer is for the Lord to show me how great his love is. Kinda babbling. So here's the song. Amen Pine. Our hope is always in Him, it's hard to feel like you belong anywhere sometimes. We belong to Him though and He's not letting us go.
