The First Cause –MJS
The Christian life contains what I like to call “The Magoo Factor,” which is a 60’s cartoon comedy about the antics of an elderly gentleman with near-blind eyesight. Regardless of his actions he always ended up where he was supposed to be, and that unharmed.
It is true concerning believers in Christ, that we are always where the Father wants us so that He can continually progress our “being conformed” (not conforming but being conformed – Rom 8:29), for there is no thought, felling, word or action that can be performed without the foreknowledge of the Father which He has not already preordained (everything God knows is from everlasting, to everlasting) in order to “work together for good to them that love Him” (Rom 8:28).
There is no necessity for guilt feelings since we are without guilt. We can know that God knows that our sole desire in all we do (good/bad) is to please Him, which is the result of Him continually "working" this in us (Phil 2:13).
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand” (Psa 37:23, 24). “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Pro 3:6).

The Christian life is not our living a life like Christ, or our trying to be Christ-like, nor is it Christ giving us the power to live a life like His; but it is Christ Himself living His own life through us; 'no longer I, but Christ.'" -MJS
