Gen 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

Last night laying in bed, I couldn't sleep so my mind went to the fact that we belong not to this world. We belong not the kingdoms of this world but rather we belong to the Kingdom of God, which is not of this world. My husband was sleep next to me and so I asked silently to the Lord, how much longer do we have to be strangers in a land that is not ours. The verse above came to mind. God spoke this unto Abraham. God was speaking about Israelites, it took 400 and plus years before God's people were lead into the promise land.

Christ is the promised seed, and the day is coming that Christ shall lead ALL His sheep out of this world and into a promised land. Its a kingdom that shall never pass away. Fact is we all are strangers in a land that is not our own.
