Hey Forgiven!

First welcome to Oasis :) It was great having you in the Love Hurts gathering tonight...

And, it is great to see you found this forum! Praise God for your sharing, for that is the first step to overcoming, is to bring it from the darkness into the light, sis *hug*

A few things come to my mind and heart when I read your post...

First there is a wonderful program called Real Solutions on Saturday evenings, 9pm est/8pm cst hosted by my good friend Realtmg. Check out the COOL calendar the link is located at the top of the page in the feature links box. This program deals with those struggling with various addictions and how we can look towards Him and His love and grace to help us overcome!

Second there is a great 14 day COOL Christian Counseling study which can be found on main page or in the Christian Counseling forum you may want to check out.

Lastly, you may want to look at my website, the link is at the bottom of my post here :) I can so relate to your struggles sister, and if you have any questions or just want to talk please feel free to email me...

I will also be praying for you, and you are right... we CAN'T do this on our own. But thru Him all things are possible *angelbounce*

God bless you richly,
Susi

Do not be ashamed, but rather wise enough to post so we can pray for you to humble yourself and reach out. You are posting what some others see in themselves.
I suggest that you check out some of the COOL Studies here.
I also suggest to surrender to this compulsive addiction each day, or even each hour. Get up and ask God to get you through that day without giving in to this temptation. If you make it 1 day, give Him thanks. Keep seeking and surrendering this issue to Him daily. Fill yourself with thoughts from above and not things on earth.
Might even find an accountability partner somewhere,to hold you accountable. It will get easier the more you obey. Thanks for giving me the privilege to pray for you and may our Lord receive all the glory. You are not alone out there, but one of many who also hide this addiction. Again, thanks for coming forth before God and us. May His Light shine through you as you begin the journey back to being whole in Christ and His grace. Luv Ya. Real.

Forgiven. Ask God to provide one for you. You might find one here that would be a good start. May God's Will Be Done. Real. *Whistle*

I want to add to my previous post and add that you should choose an accountability partner of the same gender. This is best. I am confident that some who read your post and knowing you are looking for an accountability person will PM you very soon. God always provides. Luv ya. Real.
P.S. Keep me updated. Thanks.

Hi Forgiven,

Thanks for your post. I too have struggled with lust and feel your frustration and pain.

I'd love to spend time talking and praying with you. As Suzi suggested I also recommend the Cool Counseling study as a great beginning and I have some other resources as well.

You certainly aren't alone in this... we all care about you and love you... and know that with God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit you're going to kick this compulsion.

You can do all things through Christ! You've already done the hard part... that's bringing it out of the darkness where the Light of Jesus can shine on it and begin your healing.

Check out my testimonial.
