I feel so defeated

Postby tracyyundt » Tue Mar 24, 2015 7:55 pm

I am a compulsive liar, and addicted to lying. I lie so that I can get attention. I make up crazy stories so that people will show sympothy and care. I just lost another important person in my life because of this. I want to change, I don't want to live like this anymore. I have no one, I don't even know why anyone would ever love me.

Hi tracyyundt,

Welcome to Christianity Oasis! It is awesome that you have been led here. You shared that you feel the need to do whatever it takes to gain the attention of others. Often this can happen when one is unhappy in their life. They seek attention of others because it is a temporary happiness to be "noticed". Unfortunately that happiness being temporary means that you will do whatever it takes to gain that "happy" feeling again. True happiness and Joy is find in Jesus....and He is willing to give you all the time and attention you need whenever you need it. He wants to become your best friend and He wants to offer you the happiness that never leaves in trusting in Him.

There is a Christian Counseling program here that I believe would be a great help to you. Check out this link: http://www.christianityoasis.com/CCCC/Forum.htm

Welcome again to the Oasis! My prayer is that you find Him that you truly seek.

Take care
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

The Bible says the Devil is the father of lies. I f we can be honest with others and ourselves ,then we have no reason to tell a lie. I knew a fellow one time that rather tell a lie than the truth. I could not understand that. It could of been to gather attention. Pray to our Lord on a personal basis and before you speak THINK, This can be a habit also,
The the REAL you my friend. GBU and thanks for reaching out.
