r u lonely?

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Being alone and being lonely are two different things. One can be alone without being lonely, and one can be lonely in a crowded room. Loneliness is, therefore, a state of mind, an emotion brought on by feelings of separation from other human beings.

The sense of isolation is very deeply felt by those who are lonely. The Hebrew word translated desolate

Thanks jill for bring up this topic. I think it has a big impact on sexual sin. For me it's not the main cause of it, but one of the top reasons why i sin sexually. The feeling of lonelness is one of the hardest things someone can feel like you said. To answer the other question i don't know. I haven't figured that out myself how to overcome the feeling and how people can help me with that.
