Power and control
Abusers believe they have a right to control their partners by:
*Telling them what to do and expecting obedience
*Using force to maintain power and control over partners
*Feeling their partners have no right to challenge their desire for power and control
*Feeling justified making the victim comply
*Blaming the abuse on the partner and not accepting responsibility for wrongful acts.
Only God has control over our lives. We have no control, neither do our abusers. Surrender to HIM and you shall be set free.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22,23
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Amen. Thank you for sharing that Flutey. It is right on the money!
It is always lawful to do good. I love that verse. I would like to share a few more on that theme.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:1
You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. Gal 5:7-8
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
"Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." Romans 13:10
"Love God and do as you please" - Martin Luther
Shalom my friends
