Trivia-Who Am I
While you try and answer the following trivia questions, I want you to think about, if you can relate to any of these people. Have you ever denied to answer one of God's calls? Have you ever answered a call that you thought was God's to only realize later that it wasn't? And last, what are you doing now to answer God's calls?
1. Who Am I? God said this to me: If the men come to call thee, rise up, [and] go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do. Instead of following God's call, I saddled my donkey and went with the princes of Moab. Then my donkey saw an Angel of the Lord standing in my path with his sword drawn, and my donkey turned and went into the field, where I smote him. After two more attempts, and more smoting of my donkey, my donkey opened his mouth and said, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
2. Who Am I? Then Pashur smote me, and put me in the stocks that [were] in the high gate of Benjamin, which [was] by the house of the LORD. Then I said O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But [his word] was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not [stay].
3. Who Am I? Now the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
But instead I rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. After boarding the ship a great strom came up, and I asked to be cast into the sea for the sake of the others and then the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow me up. And I was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
4. Who Am I? As I journeyed, near Damascus: suddenly there shined round about me a light from heaven: And I fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto me, why persecutest thou me? And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
And I trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto me, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. I arose from the earth and when I opened my eyes I could not see. I went three days without site, and not eating nor drinking.
5. Who Am I? Jesus asked me three times if I loved him. And three times I answered him that thou knowest that I love thee. He then saith unto me, Feed my sheep. Then Jesus said the following to me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not. And then He said to me, Follow me.
