Thought I'd share this
Posted: Sat Mar 28, 2009 10:11 amDon't know where to post this , considering the fact that what I'm about to share has anything to do with CCCC , so I guess I'll take my chances being shot at or sued here ! Hah.
Juggling, between MCFC and CCCC for the second time around , and also with everything else going around in my life today, I figured maybe its time to do some reflecting , or a "recap" of some sort .
In trying to so , 1st thing I came to realize, is that I still can't sit still long enough to do some meditation after talking to God in prayer in the morning. (I'd always done my meditations by doing something else , by sketching, carving wood and such) , since I don't have those means any longer (temporary as it is) I'd been doing my meditations on my way to the USM library , to hook up to Oasis.
On my way here today, my mind drifted off all over the the place , then I realized ,even though it was "all over the place" it still revolved around my experiences here at Oasis, gardening , the call , and everything ,which put a smile on my face , and suddenly I thought , you know what ? This OK , I am OK , I finally found a home to come to where everyone is doing the same thing , one talking to another in Spirit wether we realize it or not , I came to that conclusion by finding out the lack of arguments here , yeah , there are a lot of jabs and nudges , and sometimes down-right pushes , but nevertheless, they're all done in the Spirit of "Love one another" as our Lord suggested us to do.
Well, here , finally I get to the point of expressing the outcome of my "reflection". (pwheew !)
Ok , Gardening , Spring , Easter, Resurrection , trees are budding , I even heard the birds sing (this is Maine) . I'm going " New, everything is new" , Then I thought "It is not a coincidence that the resurrection happened in spring , for it was our Lord who said "Behold , I will make ALL things new" not some !
The final outcome came in words this time , instead of wood or paper an charcoal.
If a burried bulb can become a flower,
If an egg can soar and sing;
Why doubt the Resurrection power
Of our Risen Lord and King .
Rejoice today in flower and song ,
No more is Golgotha grim;
Let Faith today be pure and strong,
Happily worshiping Him .
Love you all !

That was so amazing. That poem just says it all so well. And not only that, God has replaced a loss in your life with something new as well. The sketching etc you would do, has now flowed into the gift of words in poetry. All for the glory of our Lord. The way God blesses us, because of our love for Him just really never ceases to surprise me. You have now put God in His proper place again in your life, and He hasn't forgotten you...He's giving you new gifts....wooohooo Praise God!!!
