1 Cor 7:6-8
1 Corinthians 7:6-8 King James Version (KJV)
6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.
1 Corinthians 7:6-8 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
6 This I say by way of concession, not of command. 7 I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has a particular gift from God, one having one kind and another a different kind.
8 To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is well for them to remain unmarried as I am.

The most important thing in life is to be us using our gifts to serve the Lord, being single makes this easier.
