constant contradicting

Postby smitties09 » Mon Dec 20, 2010 2:30 pm

hi everyone,

Iwork with someone who CONSTANTLY contradicts EVERYTHING i say. What do people get out of that? This person is a christian. I feel like I'm being pulled down all the time and like I'm going to explode by the end of the day. How do you cope with people like this? I do pray but do I just say nothing and let her pull me down all the time.

thanks

Hello Smitties :)

God bless you this day.

I'm sorry that what that person says affects you so deeply.

Perhaps she is just trying to engage you in a conversation, yet her approach is less than ideal. Perhaps she feels convicted by what you say. Perhaps she has been on the receiving end of contradiction most of her life and is just reacting out of habit.

Whatever the reason, you can earnestly lift her up in prayers to our Lord. He knows the reasons and He is your hope for peace, as well as hers.

I'm sending up prayers to our Lord on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, Smitties.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Hello Smitties *Wave*

I feel your frustration. With out knowing more about this situation it's hard to give advice but I can lead you to a study that will help you get even more in tuned to the best counselor you could ever find. And He is available 24/7 free of charge. :)

There are two study's here that will help you find an answer to your question.
One is called the cool christian counseling
http://www.christianityoasis.com/cccc/forum.htm

Found in the Cool Christian Counseling forum
http://www.christianityoasis.com/Member ... m.php?f=14

And another study I would recommend is The Spirit of Truth study found at...
http://www.ChristianityOasis.com/Spirit ... tepOne.htm

I think you are already on the right path with prayer and holding your tongue as you said. But you seek more. And need more. I hope you choose one of these studies as they will help you find the voice of the one who can and will help you in this and all struggles.

Hope this helps. Take care and God bless.
