Righteousness belongs to all that believe in Jesus. It is through righteousness that all that believe live. The purpose of righteousness that comes to us because we believe in Jesus is to work in us what the law could not, a life free from sin. Another way of saying that is the righteousness that comes to us through our faith in our Lord has a job to do. It's job is to see to it we fulfill the demands of the 10 commandments. What is it that the 10 commandments cannot fulfill in us? It cannot produce the life of the Father in us. What is the life of the Father in us? It is the pure essence of His Spirit in us through Christ Jesus. What is the pure and perfect essence of God the Father? It is the same that He placed in Jesus...His Love...The intent of the righteousness of God in us is to perfect us in love. He that has been made perfect in the love of God has fulfilled the law of the commandment.
