Christ in you, part 1
Hello Christianity Oasis,
Blessings!
http://www.examiner.com/spirituality-in-st-louis/the-other-side-of-the-cross-part-3-christ-you-part-1?CID=examiner_alerts_article
We’ve been examining those benefits we gain from the King of Kings and Lord of Lords on the other side of the cross. We stated that there are many benefits deserving of another week of celebration beginning at midnight the Monday after Easter. We noted that the reason many denominations do not see or understand the need is a consequence of their reliance on The Apostle’s Creed as their founding doctrine. We noted that its shortcoming is a failure to identify the magnificent things we are entitled to that are quite beyond just the forgiveness of sins.
Yesterday we discussed the general tenet of the New Covenant reality, Christ’s statement about His reason for coming to the earth, that being that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. We noted that the abundant life Christ gives us is a spiritual life, not a religious one. Today we will examine the riches of a mystery, Christ in you, your hope of glory.
Col.
[25] Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
[26] Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
[27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
[28] Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
[29] Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
If we begin with religious men concerned with power and their own glory we end up with a Christianity full of dead men’s souls rather than men filled with the Spirit of Christ. Why so many down through the centuries have choked on the great message first taught to us by Christ our Lord and then elaborated on by the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John is in itself a great mystery. For one to reject the life our Lord purchased for us with His own blood, a life God Almighty confirmed by sending His Spirit to come upon us and indwell us, is confounding. But such has pretty much defined religious Christianity across all denominations until the turning of this past century. Then, once again the faith and fasting of some brought the Spirit back to all that are willing to seek Him.
It is unfortunate many of Christianity still choose a natural life over a spiritual one, but fortunate for those that choose correctly, as to do so is Christ in you, your hope of glory. Of course such is the reason for this article. We want as many as possible to receive the great spiritual riches that come to us with the life of God within. And we believe many more would choose those riches if someone would explain what such a life is like.
We begin with the biological term symbiosis. As defined by the Bing online dictionary symbiosis is the close association of animals or plants:a close association of animals or plants of different species that is often, but not always, of mutual benefit. Christ in you is something like that, but greater in the sense synergy plays a part.
Synergy as defined by the Bing online dictionary is the combined effort being greater than parts: the working together of two or more people, organizations, or things, especially when the result is greater than the sum of their individual effects or capabilities.
Sound interesting? Of course the accurate description of Christ in you, although similar to the biological phenomena described above, is a joining of the human soul (personality/mind) with the Spiritual entity of Christ and His mind. Such has often been portrayed in science fiction stories on a natural level with the joining of two intellects, the result being an extension of the life of one and a greater access to knowledge through the intellect of the other. In such a relationship both creatures benefit once integrated or made one. Of course for oneness to occur the lesser intellect must yield its will to the will of the greater intellect.
Christ in you is similar to that just described, but the joining is of that which is eternal with what was originally natural. The integration or oneness of the two personalities occurs when the human soul (personality/mind) understands that cooperation with the spiritual mind of Christ produces better things than those things the flesh desires.
Tomorrow we will elaborate on what some of those great things are.
Blessings!
Love, In Christ Jesus, saint.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.

Re: Christ in you, part 1
Hello All,
Blessings!
Not long after I was filled with the Holy Spirit and given a prayer language I remember coming across Romans 8 verses 29 and 30.
Like most novices I choked on those scriptures. Why? I choked on them because I did not have faith to believe them about myself. I did get so far as to ask myself the question, "Could those verses be talking about me?" I answered myself with a slangish "naw," and read on. Of course I choked on the verses that followed because my unbelief kept me from understanding just how great God is toward us and desires to be in us.
Another scripture I choked on that also defined who we are in Christ Jesus was Acts 9 verses 1-6.
Of course I asked myself the question, "Were the ones Paul was persecuting Jesus?" Of course they were because we are His body on the earth, but once again I refused to believe such could be true of me in respect to being called by His name. Nevertheless, all that believe God raised Jesus from the dead, that have been filled with His Spirt, are led by the His Spirit, and walk in His love, are Jesus on this earth.
Now, having read Ephesians 3 verses 14 and 15 above, we are entitled to choke on the knowledge of who's family we are of, and who's name we bear. But choking will only stunt our growth. The family surname I bear in the flesh is Cook, but now in the Spirit, my family surname is Jesus. Furthermore, our spiritual family surname is made real to us when we find the person and personality of our Lord living in our soul. As it is written, in that day you shall know, I in you, and you in me.
Now we live in that day, and it is high time we searched our whole house to find that which was lost by Adam, such being the life of God living in us. Such was the reason for the first article on Christ in you in my Easter series on the benefits we gain through Christ's resurrection. Such is our primary objective, to become one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Such is why we took a great deal of time to carefully examine what it is like when the person of Christ reveals Himself in us. Just as the genetic nature of our earthly (family) parents is passed down to us, so to the heavenly nature of God is passed down to us from our Lord Jesus. And as much as we notice the ways of our earthly parents showing up in us, we notice our new birth and Christ's life in us so much, much more when we desire He be in us.
What we taught in this first article on Christ in you about the symbiotic relationship that we grow into is without a doubt the most important message I have ever delivered on this website. While it is certainly good to covet the best gifts of the Spirit in terms of those works the Holy Spirit does through us for the building up of the church, the grand prize is to covet and grow into the fullness of Christ within, our hope of glory. So please read the referenced article above, just don't choke on it so that Christ in you is formed to perfection more quickly, and you come to know His real presence within you, and save your soul to the uttermost.
Blessings!

[29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Like most novices I choked on those scriptures. Why? I choked on them because I did not have faith to believe them about myself. [1] And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
[2] And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
[3] And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
[4] And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
[5] And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
[6] And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Of course I asked myself the question, "Were the ones Paul was persecuting Jesus?" Eph.3
[14] For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
[15] Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Jas.1
[21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
2Pet.1
[19] We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Blessings!
