"The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Hello All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

We hope you are having a terrific Memorial Day!

Yesterday we examined the roots of our nation's demise. We took note of how we St. Louisans have just gone about our business without much awareness of the terrible things happening around us. We observed how as a nation we have devolved from honor and integrity to apathy and indifference. We saw how God used the nation of Israel to teach us the horrible consequences of spiritual fornication and how such practices in our nation today are gutting our country from the inside out.

Being a baby boomer ourselves, we can remember the years after WWII when groups of men gathered on street corners to discuss politics and the state of the nation in general. Such was the time of the cold war in its early stages when both Russia and the United States were testing their nuclear weapons. Everyone was concerned during the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Disaster preparedness became a central issue in our nation. From the highest levels of our government to the lowest disaster teams were formed and trained to be ready to aid victims caught in disasters of all kinds,..., except spiritual ones.

During that time Christianity was strong in America. People had a sense of the great potential for a nuclear holocaust. They lived their lives closer to God than we do today and God kept us from atomic warfare. Many had a strong faith in God and an understanding of the need for His protection during that time. Most didn’t need to prepare spiritually. They knew God had made us victorious in WWII and that only with His help could we avoid thermal nuclear war with Russia. Most of us had a strong faith in God back then. Those not prepared spiritually flocked to Billy Graham crusades for salvation.

Today one can look around our nation and not find a single spiritual disaster preparedness team so called. We do find many Christians called evangelists in various denominations that go from place to place looking for individuals that desire to get themselves prepared in case calamity should beset them.

Fear of death or hell or both have always been a strong motivating factor in our decision to become spiritually prepared should our physical bodies die suddenly. Such is great for those so minded. They have chosen to protect themselves from spiritual disaster.

Natural disasters and spiritual disasters are somewhat different from one another. When a natural disaster occurs teams go into action helping those afflicted in every way possible. As with Joplin Missouri many not part of such teams may also pitch in to help however they can. With natural disaster teams their primary efforts often begin only after the disaster has occurred. Most natural disasters cannot be avoided. They just happen. If fortunate we may receive warning in time to get out of the way. Our homes may perish but we escape death by heeding the warnings we have been given.

Spiritual disaster preparedness is different from natural disaster preparedness in that such begins before the natural destructive event occurs. We all have the choice to become spiritually prepared for such by seeking out those specially trained to lead us to receive eternal life. Eternal life is a Christian Spiritual life received when we invite Jesus Christ into our hearts to be our Lord and Savior. Such must be done before a natural disaster strikes us down and ends our physical life.

Spiritual disaster and physical disaster are alike in that if we heed the warnings given to us we can get out of the way of the doom heading in our direction. THIS ARTICLE IS A WARNING TO THOSE THAT HAVE YET TO GET THEMSELVES SPIRITUALLY PREPARED FOR THE INCREASING NATURAL DISASTERS, TERRORIST ACTS AND WARS TO COME. THIS ARTICLE IS ALSO A SOBERING REMINDER FOR THOSE THAT THINK THEMSELVES SPIRITUALLY PREPARED THAT THEY MUST MAINTAIN THEIR FAITH IN GOD NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM, THEIR LOVED ONES, OR THEIR SURROUNDINGS.

HEED THIS WARNING! ONLY THOSE CONTINUING UNTIL THE END SHALL BE SAVED.

One must be spiritually prepared for disaster before it strikes. Most in America and around the world can become spiritually prepared on their own. All one has to do is fall at the feet of Jesus Christ as He hangs on the cross, pierced, bruised, bloody, and bleeding for us. We present ourselves to Him and tell Him we long for His life in us. We tell Him we want to be changed into His likeness. We humbly implore Him to allow us to be baptized into His death and be raised in the likeness of His resurrection. We ask Him to make His Spiritual life ours. We ask Him to come live in us through His Holy Spirit. We ask Him to replace our old life in the flesh with His new life in the Spirit. This is Spiritual disaster preparedness.

Since 911 countless numbers of people have perished suddenly around the world due to terrorist acts and an increase in wars and natural disasters. We wonder how many of those that perished were spiritually prepared for the calamity that took their physical lives away. In the perilous time we live in none of us are immune. Earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, terrorists, and wars surround us. It is truly risky business to ignore the signs of our times. Is it wise to put off spiritual disaster preparedness? Such is a personal decision. There is no in between. Either we choose spiritual preparedness or we do not.

WE either choose HEAVEN or we choose HELL! SPIRITUAL DISASTER PREPAREDNESS IS A CHOICE. ARE YOU READY?

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
