Give it a chance

Like many others I discovered this website while seeking online christian counseling. After reading some of the other christian blogs I began thinking that maybe my problems weren't so bad after all and maybe I should skip this program, but then I thought no, I should give this program a chance because that's the reason I came across this website in the first place.
I've been a christian for about 25 years and I'm miserable because I know I'm not experiencing the abundant life that Jesus meant that I should have. I see very little growth in my life as a christian and like I heard it asked, " if you were standing on trial for being a christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?". People in my church know I'm a christian and in my family but that's about it. I was very evangelistic as a new christian, but that was long ago. Can I have new start? I long to feel God's love on a daily basis and to know Him more. I'm active in my church in a praise group. I sing and play guitar, but I feel that I'm missing something. I don't feel secure in my relationship with God. I have issues in my life that I struggle with. It's become so hard for me to be a christian outside my circle. I want to be a better husband to my wife. I need a clear vision and the motivation to see it through. I feel that there is so little in my life that I have seen accomplished from the beginning to the end. Anyway, I'm gonna begin this 14 day program and give it a chance.

Daviedoozer yay!!!! I'm so glad you have chosen to walk the steps of the counseling program. The doubts you were having about doing the program were just little whispers. Don't listen to those whispers. Each person has different problems, and anyone who doesn't feel close enough to God and wants to grow, is just as important as all the others. God is the reason for living. He should be your #1 focus.

It's great to see you are stepping out to grow in your relationship with God. The blessings and the rewards in the end our definitely worth the struggle to grow. God wants to listen to you. He wants to be your best friend. He wants you to be His best friend.

I also see that you have a few things that you are needing to work on in your own lifestyle. You talked about it being hard to be a Christian outside your circle. There must be something holding you back, don't be afraid, just reach out and call on Jesus strength. Being a better husband will come as you begin to grow in the Lord. He will teach you how to become what He needs you to be.

Keep doing the steps.

Praying for you and your family.

Take care and God Bless

Can I have new start?

Absolutely :) God specializes in those ;)

God will remove those scales, one by one, and give you that clear vision that you seek. But you must go after it with all your heart and soul.

I feel that there is so little in my life that I have seen accomplished from the beginning to the end

Never forget that God is in control, and tho it may seem like you have accomplished very little of what you had planned to do in your life, you may be just where He wants you, cuz if you were not at this point, you probably would not feel as compelled as you do to draw closer to Him. All things happen in His perfect timing, and He is calling to you now.

Grab His hand and let Him lead you.

God bless you brother in Christ *hug*
Cheering you on as you go thru these 14 steps *Cheer*
