Hello Kashira
God bless you.
You said that sometimes you wonder if the things you are thinking about are God or just you -- and you wondered how is it we know for sure, whose thoughts they are. Well, there is a process we go through when we start seeking God and His thoughts. Up to the point of seeking God, our minds have been sorta chaotic and "world" oriented -- seldom thinking about God. Even our education has been void of the mentioning of God.
But now, you are thinking about God, and wondering how to become more like Him, and how to walk with Him, in His will. The Holy Spirit indwells every Believer -- Born Again Christian; therefore, once we CHOOSE to seek Him and fill up our minds and hearts on the things of God, we are re-directing our minds to filter everything through God. At first it may feel awkward, and we may forget sometimes to think "ok, I'm going to work now God, so please direct my path in whatever work I do today." But with practice, it becomes habit. Ask The Holy Spirit to remind you, to filter everything you say and do with God being your first thought.
Keep reading His Word / The Bible -- which is also Jesus. This Study is helping to form a habit within you to read and digest His Word. Again, it's all a process.
When we became Born Again, we were justified by the blood of Jesus. We are all now within the sanctification process -- becoming more like Jesus. We become more like Him in getting to know Him and filling ourselves with His Word and His ways.
We still live in this flesh, and we still live here on earth and have to contend with the world and it's ways. But now, we are learning to sift or filter every thought and action through a Jesus-focused mind. And as we familiarize ourselves with The Bible / His Word / Jesus and get it into our minds and hearts, it will start coming back to us. By this I mean, we'll be going about our day to day things and suddenly we'll think (hear with our spiritual ears, not our physical ears) of a verse of The Bible come to our remembrance. That's The Holy Spirit -- that's what He does, He'll bring it to us. The Holy Spirit will always point us to Jesus.
Over time, we'll start to fully recognize His voice -- the voice of our Lord. And we'll think -- wow, I know that voice, it's Him -- not me.
And we'll recognize His character within what is being spoken. Love and Goodness walks with us.
Just call out His name, and He will be there. He's waiting for all of us to talk with Him. He loves us all so very much.
I hope this helps you, Kashira.
God bless you.
