I had a happy childhood, we were poor but I did not know this until I started school and children can be so cruel.
As a teenage girl with four brothers, privacy was a joke. I always was loved, watched over and my mother was one of a kind, she loved God above all things. My Daddy, was always the rule maker, I could never have a boyfriend for more than two weeks and then they were gone, I was always to young in Daddy's eyes. the first time I drank, I got drunk of course and my parents never knew, I was their beautiful baby girl, ( what a joke) the first time I tried pot, I was zombie out. I hated pot and that was a good thing. I was made to go to church, until I was about 15, then I went to local teenage dance we had in our little community, it was to keep us out of trouble, little did they know, those dark shadows were perfect for teenagers. Back to the pot, the first time I tried it, I could not move, it was all slow motion, my friends took me home, put me to bed, mom & dad were out shopping, when they came home and found me in bed, dad thought I was sick. He got me water, aspirin, hoovered over me, to make sure I was alright, I was so high, I could not even speak, that was the first time, i thought, " Daddy will ground me, use his belt, and not speak to me if he finds out, to this day, he never has. I was not the model daughter , Mom, knew something was not right with me, but knew my dad was very strict, so she would quietly pray, and watch me with her all knowing eyes. ( Lord, I miss her)

Hi Christdaughter!

I'm so glad to see you posting and want to thank you for allowing me to share in your life. I too drank and smoked as a teen, and went to a teen thing on the weekends that was run by a church which was a great place to get high with my friends. Crazy, huh? God bless ya sister!
