This is another challenge! To replace my actions and words based on lies with those based on the Truth. The enemy wants me to think that all is lost, out of control, hopeless, but the Truth is that it is all conquered in Christ and God is in control. The lies cause me endless anxieties, worry and fear, but from the perspective of the Truth I have cause to wait on God, rejoice in His salvation and deliverance and learn to be patient. It's so easy to imagine the very worst, especially when things become unpredictable to me, but they aren't unpredictable to the Lord and I have to believe He's watching out for me. The enemy wants to steal my joy and peace, but being miserable isn't going to help the situation, so I have to keep reminding myself, asking myself, why go there?

I have to admit, I prayed for more faith. Now that I'm in a situation that I could really cultivate that, I want out lol . But I'm going to try to embrace that part of these challenges, that I could deepen my faith in ways that weren't otherwise possible.

Ah Deborah,

This many do struggle with.
To replace my actions and words based on lies with those based on the Truth

There is Hope for these ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) to leave us. Imagine if you will enjoying a picnic with your loved one and then here come two or three ants , which we can deal with and swat off our blanket. But when those ants go and get the wholeee family and decide to crash your picnic, then is when the real trouble begins. We have two choices ! 1 . to keep our handy dandy ant eater close by to keep our picnic and enjoyment of others. or 2. we can pick up the blanket and shake it out and move to another area. #1 has to deal with doing inventory on the thoughts and replacing the ants with reason and truth and they disappear. method #2 if we do not have access to an anteater at that time we can move our picnic away from the ANTs. In other words, dont entertain the lil buggers when they appear and shake the dust off and move to another place of peace of solitude.

The TRUTH shall set you free. Meditation and Prayer and Practice. Seek His face in ALL situations and ask HIm, How can i grow from this? Lil steps take longer, but we are still moving instead of standing in stagnant waters.

God bless us all
♥Jill

Deborah, God has blessed you with two wonderful sons and a safe enviroment. Take this time to develope your relationship with God so that you may enjoy peace and joy no matter where you are. Remember that God is in charge and he will take care of everything if you will just leave it up to him.

I like the analogy that Jill gave about the ANTs. She is right you can't let your mind be overtaken by thoughts of what if. It will only lead to more negative thinking. You did the right thing getting yourself and your boys to a safe enviroment and you are surviving. *bravo* Take one day at a time and hold your head high after all YOU are a child of God. We love you and are so glad you are a part of our family. *hug* God Bless You. I'll be praying for yall... all four of yall. Keep up the good work.
