Sunday, was the last day of the women of Joy conference, and I was so energized by what God was doing. to see 9,000 women worshiping together and praising God. Though, my spirit still felt sad, or a sense of longing as I walked out to the conference center. Then God gently spoke to me and said, "The Joy of the lord is lived out daily." The conference may be over, but the joy that you have found in me will never die. Wow. So women, men.. Joy comes from our Heavenly Daddy, those of you who can not relate to a heaven Daddy, YET.
Believe me when I say, it took me years before I could see God as that. Just a year ago I heard a dear friend of mine call God her dad, and I desired that so much. with the relationship between my father, and men, I could not say that he was MY heavenly daddy. I love to hear her pray this way, and so I started to pray God give me the desires of my heart, to see you as my Heavenly Daddy, and just a few months ago He did. Through the true, freeing forgiveness of my earthly father, God became my Heavenly Daddy.
The Joy that we have in the Lord, some days may seem dimmer than others, and almost gone. But He is there, and that Joy that he can only provide is always with you. Look for him today in the small details of your life, that is where I have found the Joy that he gives me. Knowing that he cares for even the miminal detail. Find Joy in that He saved you. Find Joy in that He loves you unconditionally. Find that Joy in Him today!!! Love you all in Christ.
Truth:
Nehemiah 8:10 (King James Version)
"for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
Zephaniah 3:17 (King James Version)
17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. I love that verse.
Psalm 28:7 (New International Version, ©2011)
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
Thank you God for Joy in these days of trails and temptation we all have.
