Under the rug?

Postby Guest » Thu Feb 11, 2010 1:03 pm

I surely must be the absolutely the best at trying to sweep everything under the rug and hoping that it will all just go away. Wow...the countless number of years that I did that...not only sweeping things under the rug but building up walls around to protect. I thought I was really good at that. If i needed a little extra help then all I had to do was put on a fake smile and tell everyone that things were great and they would go on about their lives.

Guess what?? All that did was add more anger, frustration, doubt, fear deep inside me. I really really struggle with faith and trust. I was having a really good day yesterday aside from some issues with my dad that seemed to bring some clouds over an otherwise sunny day. I became friends with a person on here named Sleepless in Florida. I am so thankful she sent me the message on here and shared her heart with me. God bless you Sleepless for reaching to me!

Hi Iwanated Trust and love are hard for some of us....but you know You can learn to trust and love again. Building walls may protect you ....but what you are protecting you from? Wall in reality only hurt and only seclude us from what our Heavnly Father has for us. Do we really let Him behind the walls, or is His locked out too?
God Bless You sis
Even in the hardest of times...He is there holding our hand

ahh, sis... you are beginning to see that Jesus you have been crying out for. He's been with you all the time, but, with walls built, as we do, we dont always hear Him or sense His presence around us..at least we dont think we do. We think He isnt there or isnt listening, but what we think and what IS are so often so different. Once we begin to let down those walls, as you are doing here, we see the blessings and the love a little at a time..and through people who love because they too are learning to love the way Jesus does. You may not know it, but you are also reaching out to love those around you..those who come here searching..reading your posts and coming to the realization that they arent alone in their search for who Jesus really is.

Keeping seeking, sis. There is so much more to life as you have known it. Jesus has been with you all along. He wants to show you a more abundant life. One full of His promises and love for you.

God bless you, wanted. Keep going. Keep pushing through. You are doing an awesome job sis, and He is right there with you.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

Hey iwanted *hug* I'm so glad God sent sleepless to reach out to you as well. He knew just what you needed...a friend. :) God is so good sis.

Sweeping things under the rug...and then building walls around all the garbage under the rug...turned into a huge landfill huh? Well there's definitely a way to get rid of all the things under the rug...and that is letting God remove them one by one. Work on learning to trust Him more sis. He will not hurt you...He will only help...and I'm telling ya...He carries a big broom and a dustpan to boot ;)

Jesus sure does love you.

*hug* and so do I.
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

GOD is good

Postby sleeplessinflorida » Thu Feb 11, 2010 3:03 pm

Awwww... *hug5* Thank you sis. The TRUTH is I owe all the Glory to GOD! He has given me the courage to share. I was just like you before him. I wouldn't share with anyone because I was ashamed and afraid of how people would look at me. I swept everything under the rug and in doing so I became someone I didn't know or liked. This made me physically and mentally ill. One thing I know for sure is that when I let GOD take over he did just what he promised! Hallelujah Praise the Lord! *band* He lifted me up and filled my heart with sooo much joy and gave me peace of mind. I feel like I can do anything with him by my side. I know he will do the same for you. *WooHoo*

Hang in there sis and a big *HighFive* to ya. *BlessYou*
