Day 7
Posted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:07 pmTwo things dominated my day today , make that three , 1) of course is God , and 2) actually 2 & 3 go together . Not too long ago I said to someone that I never have to defend my faith so I usually dont , and when I find myself goaded, or pestered enough to do so , I first think wether to do so would lead the person to the Lord , or at least help them better understand what faith is all about , otherwise , I simply ask them if their faith working for them , If the answer be yes , I respond with " why are you worrying about my faith then ? !! " in other words , as politely as I can, tell them to mind their own biz.
But not today , earlier this morning , I was called to the office for staffing ,
a review of some sort , when they told me the reason being is that I am a member of a ministry other than their's , I asked "What seems to be the problem ? " so, the long and short of it is that they would like to for me to commit to their's ONLY . My answer to that was I dont mind it if I were to join theirs , however, if I was being asked to give up the ministry I'm involved with and or any other that I may choose later , I would like them to hand me the Exit papers for me to sign right now .
And to my disappointment , they started giving the "After all we've done for you " shenanigans I just became unglued (I even surprized myself).
I mean , like ,I'm using language such as "you brood of vipers " stuff .
and later it culminated to "The Bible, is not a religion! God, is not a religion ! and Jesus was not a Christian !! " , I almost got thrown out of the office , till one of the staff said "how can you say such things and claim yourself to be saved by Christ ?" . After telling them how dissappointed I was for not sharing the same thoughts , and claiming to be a "Christian" retreat , I asked that they look at what I said in reverse ,
I said Jesus was a jew , not a "christian" but Christ Himself , we are the ones who are Christians , second , God is nothing else but God , Alpha and Omega simultaniously the Father of our Lord Jesus the Christ , and that the Bible was The Word of God !! now where do you people find "religion" in all of this is beyond me , and not only that now you seperate one child of God in Brotherhood of Jesus from another by saying things like , Oh , after all we've done you , now would you kindly not interact with another Christian ? Just who do you think you are ?
In closing , wasn't it our Lord who said , "They who are for us cant be against us " when the diciples approached Hom with issue of "others" performing miracles in His name ?
That's the Temple I defend , God is inside me ( Holy Of Holies) , my body and mind (the holy PLACE) and these fools are in my courtyard.
Wish I could write more , but right now I'm all steamed up again , be back in five mins .
