question about your purpose in life

You know how God had plans for our lives even before we were born. And since we all were born after the death and resurection of our Lord, I am sure all our purposes add to the telling of the Gospel. Some are called to do this and some that, etc.
Now, my question is, since I got saved 24 yrs ago and messed up for hmmm 23 of those yrs and now that I am finally getting serious about God taking the wheel of my life....I am confused about my purpose. I have read some testimonies where ppl knew right away what the Lord had wanted them to do with their lives. But me, I never knew....hadn't a clue and still don't. I don't even know what "gifts" I have to contribute to spreading the Gospel. Can't carry a tune or play music. Not a leader. Not a ppl person (social butterfly). I am just a quiet mellow individual. Not gifted financially (opposite) and don't have charisma. I don't know what I was supposed to do before I wandered away from God so how do I know now?
Suppose God had something in mind and I blew it....you know like Plan A (God's will for Tracy's life). Well, what if I blew plan A? Is there a Plan B? And if so, how would one go about finding it in the midst of picking up the pieces from a messed up life?
Any suggestions?
Tracy
