I think that is the key, to start doing and thinking different.
That is hard for you but impossible? no
labyrinth, you know how when you come out of the house to a bright, sunny day and your eyes need time to adjust to the brightness. And then the sun feels all warm and you can see things better because they are not in the dark. It's the same here, the light is good and you will not stay blind within it.
Jesus is that light. He is that lifeline.
You are strong labyrinth. You want this.
It is better to light a candle then curse the darkness

Telling the difference between the good seeds and the bad weeds sis...is not always easy as even weeds can have flowers...but how you tell the difference is by how the plants make you feel. If you feel uplifted and encouraged and hopeful then the plant is a keeper...if it makes you feel down, and in darkness then it's probably a weed and needs to be pulled. Don't be afraid to pull the weeds sis, because if it's not a weed...God will help show you that it is a keeper...but listen for God's voice as you do this. His voice is soft...comforting and will bring peace.

i think i m stuck in learning more about weeds even though this is my fourth day. do i have to go on to the next day each day or can i spend more time in one day. cause i am still thinking about weeds and inner stuff. i dont know how to tell this kind of stuff about different voices. i dont know how to make you understand about it and all? i am used to different flowers speaking and they seem to have grown up apart of me and then new ones come and go. do you understand? they might be angry or hurting but i wouldnt call them weeds. but the others i would. do you think the ones who want me to come to their side are weeds? its hard to explain lets say you were taught certain things and people put things into you, you have worn it and its like part of your skin and if it comes off then your skin comes off too.
it would take a lot of power to get it off without me hurting to.

Sis I encourage you to continue onward to the next step. It will take time to get a handle on each step...but this is a life process...not a quick fix...gardening takes time...so just keep working at the old steps and continue through to the next.
As far as weeds...weeds are bad thoughts that you have about yourself or bad things that others have said that you have begun to "wear" because you have found yourself believing what they say. Letting go of the weeds is not like removing a layer of skin...but more like breaking the chains of bondage that are holding you down. You hold the key to the lock sis...allow Jesus to help you use it. Time to become the beautiful child that God sees you as and fly free from the chains that have bound you too long.

See, you are recognizing the difference.

Do you feel fear or comfort with these? That would tell you, like the light we were talking about. But I think you should wait until you know more before going to their side. When you don't have any doubt of seed or weed.

Ever have a cut and it gets infected and sticks to the bandage? You know you have to take that bandage off in order for it to heal but you know that if you pull it off, it will take off that layer and hurt. Some people would just yank it off, sometimes causing more damage and possibly leaving a scar.
But some people will soak that bandage in warm water so it becomes soft and can be removed slowly. It may still hurt but not as much, without as much damage. And the warm water cleans the infection at the same time letting healing come.
Slow and steady... like mlg says, breaking chains of bondage.

i feel fear when i read this lesson and i dont like to feel that. and i wonder why people you see and talk to and they know that they know you dont remember what they did but they act as if nothing has happened. but what would i do if i knew? i do know. how do i forgive myself. i must be feeling guilty thats why the fear. like something bubbling up from deep down underneath.
forgiveness is hard for me. people in authority social workers teachers, i used to hate all of them. i have a hard time and i dont trust them too much. i cant think of them as these people just regular people. growing up in a foster home without much control of your life then those people get to be the great big boss in your life for a long time, then its burned into your brain, just not just burned. they hurt me. they had too much power. i dont even know them. its too much flipping back and forth.
i dont agree to forgive is to forget. but i see that well if someone is sorry for what they ve done then i guess its okay to forgive but its still very difficult to forgive on the level that is described here like you have to love them. why would god want us to do that? why is what he does have anything to do whether he forgives us? why does if we dont forgive like him he wont forgive us? especially how is this power like given to us? how in the world do you get the power to do that?

Forgiving them releases you.
They couldn't careless how much you are holding against them.
Letting go brings you freedom. That is why God wants you to forgive.
It's good you are sensitive to what is going on inside of you. Pay attention to these clues and bring them to light so to find healing.
God bless and keep you. Praying for you.

Labyrinth Good morning sis.
Forgiveness...the ability to release yourself of the pain and guilt that others have inflicted upon you or that you have inflicted upon yourself because of the sinful nature of the flesh. Forgiving others doesn't mean that what they did was ok and it doesn't give them the right to do it again...forgiveness sets YOU free of the control they have over you still by your holding on to the pain and grudge and blame and guilt....this is one more chain the enemy uses to keep us bound in the hole of darkness...breaking the chain will help set you free...
As far as forgiving yourself, this can often be one of the most difficult for us because we tend to beat ourselves up over and over for something, when God forgives the first time we ask...He doesn't want us to carry the blame and guilt...He wants us to lay it down at His feet and leave it...He wants us to loose this chain as well and to fly free as a butterfly.
Keep working on the steps sis. Your gonna get where God wants you to be.

heya Labyrinth,
sis, forgiveness for the things people have done to us is difficult. Its even harder to forgive ourselves most times. the guilt and shame other's actions have caused is so hard to let go of. When Jesus died on the cross for us, for all of our sins, He chose to love us by forgiving us for everything we have ever done. If you have lied..even a lil "white lie" then it is sin in the eyes of our Holy God. But, His love is so strong and so deep that He chose to forgive in spite of what we have done so that we wouldnt have to be separated from Him for eternity. He wants more than anything for us to trust Him and live eternally with Him.
The thing is, this world is full of evil since the original sin of Adam. Not one person in this world is immune to that evil. The enemy isnt selective in who he chooses to attack through other people, and he isnt selective in who he uses to do the attacking..or hurting..to spread that evil. he will go after the children of God to try to keep them in the bondages of sin and hurt and unforgiveness. the unforgiveness serves to hold you in bondage of pain and to keep you from being free from what's happened in the past.
forgiving someone doesnt mean what they did was right..but He is God. He is just. He is their judge and what they have done they will answer for to Him. In forgiving them, you are realizing that though they hurt you, they were used by the enemy just as we all are when we do something that isnt right in His eyes. If we have said something to hurt someone, we have hurt another child of God. We are just as responsible for that until we ask for forgiveness as others are for the things they have done..until they ask God for forgiveness.
You may never ever get an apology for what was done to you. That is between them and God. They will answer for all of those things. Forgiving them...praying for them to come to the Lord with what they have done..that is loving them. When Jesus died on the cross He asked God to forgive them because they didnt know what they were doing..they didnt understand they were killing the flesh of the Son of God. They were blinded to their sin. So were those who hurt you...so were we all until we came to the Lord with everything we have done.
Forgiving starts with a decision to do so..to release them for what they have done and give it all to the Lord. Letting Him handle them. It gives all of them back to the Lord and takes your hand off of their necks..but let's God deal with them, while He heals you.
Keep going sis. He will heal you but you must decide to trust Him and surrender all of your past, everything in you, to Him. Im praying with you as all of your sisters and brothers here are. His will be done in your life, sis. He does love you and forgives you. His dying on the cross was enough to prove how much He loves you. Ask Him to help you forgive..thats where the power comes from. Decide to forgive, and ask Him to help you.
This is a process. It takes time, but you are on the right road. Keep going.
In Jesus,
love momo
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

when i read about forgiveness i was thought i had done that already... but as i continued to read i realized that that must not be what God meant.....
or what the bible says...it must have hit at me in a way that i was not familiar with. if someone hits me over the head with forgiveness one more time sort of like its a cure all for what ails me. but alas...it is that weed that still is there but i cant see it cause i cut off the top of the weed and left the roots down deep. so i keep walking over that weed satisfied that it is gone but it isnt with my own tantrums that come and go and the terrible feelings of rage.
