Stepping Stone 12.

What a day! I sent my husband off on a bus for his orietation in Indiana this morning and had water dumped on me half-way through the lesson today, but I'm in a GREAT MOOD That's because God is a GREAT GUY!!!! I must say that I tend to do a lot of falling, whether it be spiritually falling for the taunts of the devil or whether it be physically falling down some stairs at home, I do fall down. And most of the times I get back up. There was a time though where I didn't know whether or not I would be ABLE to get back up. Oddly enough, it was at one of the best times in my life, which was after my younger brother and myself moved in with my father's adopted parents. They were Methodists, and I went to church with them every week, but I seemed to be falling farther and farther, it was as though I would never stop falling.

Shortly after that I met my husband and after having dated for about 7 months, we got married. Since then, I have been rising, even though the situation is worse now that it was before. I think I am finally able to stand up again, knowing that the Lord is always with me, and that he will always be there to help me back up again.

Dear God, please watch after my husband as he travels to his new job, and help him to pass his DOT physical. Thank you for the absolutly beautiful (though very very COLD!!!) day that you have given us and thank you for letting me live another day as one of your children.

Wow......I'm on step 13!! *turns and looks back at all the past lessons* I've come a long way from the beginning of the journey. I've learned to forgive and forget, to always weed out problems as they arise, and for the first time ever I cleaned out my mp3 player entirely and put 4 cd's worth of Casting Crowns on it! I'm so HAPPY!!!!

Stepping stone 13.

Today's lesson was to basicly "share the love". I'm to take the gifts that God has so graciously given me and use them for his glory. I have always enjoyed helping people, I enjoy traveling, and I enjoy to crochet. Maybe I'm suposed to go out on the truck with my husband (who just found out today that he BARELY pasted his DOT physical with a blood pressure of 139 over 89 when the legal numbers are 140 over 90. I believe that God wants him to have this job because it had to have been GOD who stepped in over his blood pressure. I can make several blankets, scarves, ect. from now till Christmas when my hubby comes home for the first time and take them on the truck with us. You wouldn't think that you would run into so many poor unfortunate people at truck stops, but you do!

We ran into a young woman this summer who had traveled on the road with her husband and their three kids. He gave her a little money while he was fueling the truck and told her to go inside and get some lunch. When she came back out, he was gone. He had left them at the truck stop with a bag of tacos and five dollars. My husband and I were stopping to get ourselves some lunch to find her standing outside. We didn't say anything to her when we went in, but on our way out I gave her the last twenty dollars we had. I knew that we really couldn't afford it at the time, but after she told me her problems, I couldn't just let her and her kids starve. As I walked away, a man came out of the truck stop and gave her at least one fifty dollar bill and told her to "go get them kids of yours somethin' to eat." She burst into tears and ran next door to the hotel that they were going to be staying out, the owner had given her the day to find thrity dollars and he'd let her have a room for the week until her sister could get her.

Prehaps that's what God wants for me, to go around the country and help people!!!

Dear God, help me to know YOUR WILL for my life so that I can better serve you as your child. You are an AWSOME GOD!!!!!

Stepping Stone 14.

The very last stepping stone in my new and growing garden. I have been working hard and making lots of progress these last two weeks and couldn't be more happy with the results. I can feel myself becomeing closer and closer to God. I love the feeling that it gives me! I talked to several people last night in the chat room and even had a question answered for me. I'm moving along in my walk with God, and this stepping stone is the truth, It is only the beginning!

Dear God, You have lead me through these lessons with amazing success. There I nothing that you can't do, all I have to do is ask it of you. Please help me to stay close to you and to help me along my journey.
