Angelbaby I drank heavily before my 21st birthday.

That day that brought others freedom to purchase brought me fear that I would no longer need a supplier. Fear because I would be free to purchase as much as I wanted.

I prayed heavily that God would remove the temptation away before I turned 21 and he was faithful. I pray the same for you.

luv ya sis *hug*

angelbaby, sis...recently, my son went through rehab for drinking, along with other things. He didnt have the money to pay for it, but none of them there, did. check out some of them. Ask the Lord to guide you to a Christian center, if it be His will that you go. He now has a sponsor who helps him get through the tough times.

One day at a time, sis. One choice at a time. Tomorrow, today can be another day you spent sober. There is victory in Jesus, sis. Keep posting here, and crying out to Jesus in prayer and praising and seeking His will...christian music, reading His words, believing you are free from this cuz the Lord is with you to give you strength.

love you sis,
in Jesus,
momo *Pray*

Angelbaby, another day, leads to a week, leads to a month, leads to a year....you've come a long way already. Now, question what have you and Jesus been doing these last few days? Anything exciting or new? Maybe watch the leaves turning colors or falling off the trees?

Have a delightful day sis. If you need us, you know where we are.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Well, each day in Jesus is our birthday to be a new person and start fresh with You, O LORD. Thank You for how you are blessing Angelbaby.

I think of a movie I saw some time ago. It went something like this > the government, in the times of the wild west, wanted to get a difficult military mission done across the border in Mexico; so they decided to get twelve of the worst criminals to train and then do it, under a government appointed leader. They offered the prisoners a full pardon if they did the job and lived to tell about it. I think the movie was called "The Dirty Dozen" or something like that.

Anyway . . . off they went into the desert, and they ran out of water. There was one guy who was born to a drunk mother and drank booze from birth . . . never had been sober in his whole life. And then, as he was stumbling along leading his horse, he collapsed on the ground > he now had run out of booze and for his first time ever was not under the influence; and he lifts up his sweaty face with dirt all stuck to it, and looks around with the sun baking down on him, and he says,

"So THIS is what it's like to be sober!"

It can be hard to be sober. But God can make us satisfied and peaceful and clear-minded to be positive and creative and caring. So, it's worth it to get with Jesus and God and one another.

"'Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.'"

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .(Matthew 11:29)

I have been cold turkey sober and substance free for my whole life (except for a few times I was given something without knowing it), but it could be miserable without Jesus. And, by the way, I know from experience (those times I was given something without knowing it ) how Jesus' love and peace and goodness of joy does me more good and f-e-e-l-s better than any nice-feeling drug or goofy booze thing or immoral stuff. It is worth it to hold out for how You are able to fix me up and make me sweet and pleasant in Your peace to keep me and others. Please do this for Angelbaby and all of us . . . more and more may we also grow in this with You, LORD.

When you try to force yourself to do something you know God doesn't want you to do...your right you really don't want to do it. You just think you do. I pray that you have put the drink down, and ran to the only true relief you can have...Jesus.

Angel , listen , I don't know how much you drank (I don't ever recall having just a "couple" ) or care about why you said you did much , but if you happen to remember my response to your chat pm last night it was (just in case) "Enjoy" right ? Well , did you ? .... For longer than the first 5 minutes that is ? Let me answer that for you , NO .

Angel , ask anybody around here , I'm not the type to mince words when it comes to matters pertaining to addiction(s) of any kind .

I am not a bit surprized , nor am I feeling "bad" that you lapsed , in fact , I was anticipating it , and sorry to say actually waiting for it , sorry to say .
you know why ? It is my hope that it would get you closer to realize how powerless you are when it comes to alcohol/drugs (diet pills ? huh? especially when you don't need to take them ? hmm .)
Just in case you were wondering how I can say such things . well , here are the facts . you were BUD-ing to it (build-up-4-drink) all week long . "Oh its the weekend" you see , you were thinking about this drink the whole week .
Here's the bad news Angel , "normal" drinkers don't do that ! . You know what else I anticipate ( and praying to God you wont) ? Another lapse ! ... by your countdown to your upcoming B-day proves you're doing the same thing as you "weekend" . Reality : Its neither the weekend nor your B-day that you're feeling uneasy about , its your wanting to drink .

Oh , yeah , you probly asking "How does he know that ?"

Angel , I am an alcoholic , and you simply cant con a con , so , give it up !

I'm usually not in the habit of calling anyone alcoholic , but if it walks like a duck , quacks like a duck , I'm not about to call it a giraffe ok ?
Last time I put in the form of question whether you thought you might be or not , but given the facts mentioned above coupled with the your statements
I just cant drink it

I really dont want it at all right now....

I have taken a cople of drinks

Angel , you have something I have , its called alcoholism . whether you accept it , believe it , admit it or not to , it just simply doesn't change the fact that you ARE . There IS a solution and Hope for that Angel , Listen to the others , they're telling you Who it IS .

Just get off your pity pot and do something about it . Unless of course , you're addicted to whining about it as well .
Its a program of action , not talk . You can start with bending your knees
and ask the Lord for help . Then try AA , see what happens , you'll never know until you DO .
