Hey skrubby *hug* Glad to see you beginning the steps. They are so absolutely awesome. It's going to be great seeing you grow with God. I remember when you first came to the Oasis, I was able to share the story of Jesus with you, and ever since, I've delighted in seeing you come closer to Him. This is just one more step in that life long journey of growing. Everytime you hit a new level, your going to crave Him more and more.

I for one do not know the story of your childhood or your life. I've heard a few things from you, but not much. May you know though, that your past was a learning process for you. I pray after the steps you will be able to take your past and turn it into something that will help you reach out to others, who are where you have been.

May you enjoy the steps and I can't wait to see what He has in store for you.

luv ya

skrubbles my friend, I cant start off my reply to you, without saying how grateful I am that you were led here, as you are a delight to me and many many others here who enjoy your light hearted and unique manner.

I am glad too that you chose to take this step. I have done this program as well, and it helped me uncover and deal with things I didnt even realize were an issue.

Our past does not have to determine our future. We dont have to keep carrying those things around on our shoulders for the rest of our lives. The shame , guilt , hurt and confusion. There comes a time when we can no longer deny its presence, as its burden on us cannot be ignored. And then we have a choice...

Lay it at the feet of our Lord brother skrubbles. And know you have family here that truly care about and appreciate you.

One step at a time *hug*

God bless u and luv u skrubbles

Skrubby what a cool brother you are. And now seeing you seeking God through this program makes you even cooler in my eyes. :)

You bring so much joy to the chat room. You reach out to others in love and compassion. I just love having you there in the chat room. And your naughty dog rowdy too. lol

You will benefit from this program in ways you can not even begin to imagine.

Love your honesty. I will be walking beside you and praying for you through these steps as your friend and sister. Love ya! *hug*

Hey Skrubby!

I too am happy to see you beginning CCCC... I think you will learn much about yourself and your Father! I echo much of what the other ladies have already said, and want to particularly reiterate what Lizzie said that the past does not determine our future :) I've been there, done that also till I truly stepped back and realized the true grace of God (to the extent at which my pea brain could fathom!)

One more thing... NEVER doubt that you deserve His Will in your life and the promise beyond, but remember we ALL didn't deserve His grace... His unconditional love will guide you on this path, as will the support and encouragement of your brothers and sisters here...

Love ya bro rawk on! *Guitar*

Well skrubby, sometimes it's not about what your supposed to "fix", but how you can make yourself better for the Lord. Look at things you do, habits you have, is there anything in your life that could possibly be seen by the Lord as holding you back? I think we all have things we could give up that would draw us closer to the Lord.

As for pulling weeds, those are the thoughts in your mind. Wonder if you took and wrote down all the thoughts you have in a day, which ones you could say glorify God and which ones don't. If you have ones that don't then those are the ones you need to weed. For example, thoughts you may have towards the secretary when she's on your nerves, do they glorify the Lord?

Dig deep my friend, and find the innermost Love for the Lord. Following Him around, is that so bad? Of course not, Jesus wants you to follow Him, He wants to be your everything.

As for leaving the singles, maybe this was because God needs you to work on your relationship with Him first. Then if He leads you back to working with the singles, so it will be, and if not, then maybe He has other plans for you. For now though, focus on Him and you.

luv ya

Awww skrubs mlg just does so awesome in summing things up. I think the main thing is to focus on ur walk with God, the journal is not an expectation although its nice to get feedback and see the progress peeps make. The thing about weeds.. they constantly come back. I think it would be cool following Jesus around. How else we gonna learn? Bro ur doing great, and dont worry about the singles thing for now. Your focusing on ur walk and that is good and who knows what God has in store for ya. It may be to come back to singles later. Either way u r loved here. And that fire that burns bright inside... feed it... it will grow and u will learn, if i become complacent thats when i get into trouble.

Skrubbles I can really relate to what you said there about if you had not done the things you had, you wouldn't be here right now :) I know I probably wouldn't be... sometimes it takes hitting bottom and natural consequences to fall on your knees to Him. And you are absolutely right... God can turn our sins into lessons for us and for those we reach on the path in the future *saint*

Keep fighting the good fight, my brother! I am enjoying reading your insights and your Spirit... love ya much *band*

skrubby, it's great that you have already learned the lessons that some of this study holds. That shows that you have began to build a strong foundation in the Lord already. Keep building on top of that foundation now.

Yes skrubby, the past comes full circle, in a sweet way. What used to hold us back, is now used to help someone else move forward. Isn't it great to be able to do that?

Keep doing the steps skrubby, and if you learn just a few things then you've accomplished a lot.

Aww skrubs bro u r doing awesome!!!! God is great about turning our past into something that shines for Him. I know all too well that feeling of hitting bottom. And I NEVER want to go to that again. God has a way of healing past mistakes. The thing is we ALL make em and we will continue to make mistakes. The past is behind ya bro. Its gone!!!! U cant change the facts of it, but u can change how much power its gonna have over ya. I learn much from you bro and u r truly a blessing. Keep working the program, ur doing great

Dear skrubby, we are all still in process of learning..sometimes we trip now n then, but the trick is to get up n keep striving..cuz He has done it for once n for all..He has forgiven us n forgotten it..He wants us to do the same too..its the enemy lies trying to trap our mind..the enemy knows everything in our past that he will bring our mind right to that n make us feel worst..forgiving ourselves is what God wants us to do but the enemy dun want to see us to do that..n the trick is to figure out what the enemy does not wants us to do n do the opposite! yes skrubby, thats it..let go what lies behind and press on the good life that God in store for u! its urs! embrace what He have for ya cuz He wants u to have them.. enjoy ur journey with God! love ya!
