Hey Childscry,
Wow! Some of your conquered tribulations are similar if not identical to mine. I also had a crazy childhood with some of the same situations and also fight depression. However even though the whole "thinking yourself free", and "getting over it" seem impossible, they are not.
As a child I was constantly molested by several people, raped as a young adult, and also was a victim of domestic violence. My self esteem and perceived value was non existent but overtime, God transformed my mind and the disconnect I had for believing in His word diminished.
I used to believe the Lord's word was true but my mind was so bound by years of negative conditioning that I could did not think it was possible for myself. The more I tried and got into the word and prayer, I began to see my true identity. I still have battles now, as we all do, but no where compared to where I came from and I thank God for intervening.
God is so awesome, his divine strategy is beautifully intricate and lovely. I am amazed how he took a girl with such an ugly past and made it beautiful. The Lord uses me to help little girls just like me, by encouraging, consistent support, and prayer. I get to show people love just as I always desired some one to love me. I honestly found fulfillment and joy out of having the dark parts of my life used for good.
Be encouraged, I am still in the healing process but the mind renewal that has taken place is simply amazing. God can do anything and everything is possible with Him! I certainly did not want to hear any words about "keep fighting" and "continue on" awhile ago but it was true. Nothing you do to get to God is neglected or invisible, so keep pressing! The change will be life changing.
Love ya Sis,
Liberty*
P.S. I'm living proof that He lives!
