Fear

Postby newlife2014 » Sun Jun 29, 2014 10:56 pm

I don't know how to love God. I'm afraid that loving God would isolate me from the people that I love. I want to love God but I don't know how. I don't know how. I've been in church all of my life and I don't think I really love God. I have rejected him. He seems so far away and intangible. Things that seem so easy for others are so difficult for me.

God is love. The Bible says so. God is love.

God sticks closer than a brother.

A mother may forsake her child, but God will not forsake us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

You might start by just saying Thank you. And then, tell God that you want to love him.

Perfect love casts out fear.

These are Bible verses - the things I said about God are in the Bible. The things about love.

The book of John is a good place to start in reading the Bible. And there are many studies on here that are good. Look up love in the studies. And just read about love. Don't go on to counseling or any of the other subjects until you have read everything you can about love.
