Zemirahs journal - day 1

Postby Zemirah » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:16 pm

Yesterday I made a decision to restart the steps after getting to day 6; I know I can read back over and over again and that each time there will be new things uncovered, new things to learn, new truths to grasp hold of and healing to take place. I know that I could have continued from where I was; but I'm believing that I am being led to restart again and ... today, in doing so I feel lighter, fresher and exhilarated! So yes, it was absolutely the right decision

:)

Each time I read your title I question if you are transforming a castle or the little princess with in the castle. :)

You are doing well. I'm certain God adores this time you are spending with Him. *hug* God bless and keep you.

Hello Zemi, welcome to the second time around ;)

I pray you will complete the steps all the way through this time. It's very important that you finish...even though the process is sometimes difficult. God will be here with you through each step of the way.

Zemi, as I read your shared words...I feel like you have a hard time submitting totally to God and His will...it's almost like you have a hard time giving up control to Him...as you don't truly trust Him. It's as if you have been hurt in the past...and that past hurt is holding you back from getting to where you need to be with God. May you be able to truly turn everything over to God and let it all go. He wants to bring you to a new level of living a Christian life...and to do it with total faith.

Zemi you can do this. There will be many here encouraging you along the way...but most importantly...God will carry you when it gets a bit rough.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Zemirah,

let me share something with you that I learned about myself after finishing the program ...lol. I tried to explain it to some folks but I could not at the time. Maybe I will do better here *Pray*

For a long time my life went just about the way i had it planned. Without going into all the details, let me just say that it seemed right on track. In a short period of time I lost everything...including my dream and vision for the future. I was at a crossroads of my life and didn't see it. I could have turned to God or my own way. The pain was unbelievable and I was angry with God and did not trust Him. So I went my own way.

Flash forward seven years to the present... What I learned last night is that the pain I had been holding on to all these years, was the last thing I wanted to let go. Because that was the last thing that kept me connected to the dream and vision i had for my life. I had gotten used to and comfortable with the pain. I could not give that up because that meant I had to start fresh on a new path and trusting God to lead me...and that fear and belief in the lie of the enemy kept me from being healed and happy for way too long.

Today was the best day I have had in a long LONG time. When Peter stepped out of that boat, there was a moment when he had to let go. And he was focused completely on Jesus. I urge you....focus on Him and let go.

We are here cheering for you... *Clap*
