Dealing with hurt and moving on

Postby shimahra1 » Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:50 pm

I have for years had to deal with the pain of being betrayed. If it was not bad enough it keeps happening over and over. I get the sorry, but I do not know how much it really ways. None of the actions are life threatening expect when I feel like they are stealing the very life from me. But I do not want to abandon my relationship.

I know I just need to continue to pray and God will heal me. But my mind rehearses the past and causes me to behave and think in ways contrary to what I believe. Any words of encouragement out there?

Hello shimahra1

Welcome to the Oasis , glad to have you led here .

Nothing , absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake , He ALWAYS has a reason AND a purpose behind everything that happens to us according to His will .

So , word of encouragement ? HIs will , His plan , He knows best , oh and He definitely knows a whole lot more that what I have to share .... The outcome of this whole thing cannot but be the best right ?

How did I get to that point , you may ask , I got all that through working these steps outlined in this study/program ... one at a time .

There will be others that will be coming along as well , and each having a different view and suggestions each according to our own experiences , hopefully there will be one or two , and who knows , maybe even all , that you can identify with and walk through this process together .

Once again Glad to have met , and welcome .

In Christ , our Lord

Hey shimahra1, Welcome to the Oasis!

Sometimes we face trials at the hands of others...sometimes over and over....but just know that God doesn't want to see you hurting, and He wants better things for you. He also wants you to be able to forgive those who trespass against you...not because it's ok that they did these things...but because forgiving will set you free of the weight of what they have done.

I encourage you to take the path of the Counseling steps. They will help you find a new direction...one that God will be part of.

Praying for you.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

*angelbounce* Im so glad you are here. Yes, I understand how much it hurts when you are betrayed. And then you feel so foolish as it happens again. You are reaching out to God and that is the right thing to do. I too encourage you to do the counseling 14 day steps. They will really help you begin a path of healing for yourself.

*Pray* *Pray* Im praying God holds you in HIS arms and you become so much closer to HIM.
