Question

Postby momof5 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:56 pm

So does anyone having any thoughts or sound christian advice on remarriage after divorce? I have read many conflicting opinions and Im confused is it permissible. Also if you are living with someone whom youve been in a long term relationship with and they are on the fence about there faith believes in a god but not sure what he about etc etc who it be better to marry than to continue to live in sin?? Just wondering any feedback would be helpful Thanks

There is a study on divorce here. I recommend it. It is kind and loving.

Also, the Catholic church and many others view that if you get divorced then you were never really married. This doesn't seem entirely practical. But if God joined you together you couldn't be apart - right?

I personally recommend to never get married to justify sex. I think that is an incredibly bad reason - and I have done it and know how it ends.

Living with another person is touch. being alone is tough.

If you don't have peace - then it is the wrong thing to do.

I know, that's hardly an answer. God bless you in your search.

Hi actually you did help me.I read the counseling session on divorce. What a relief!! I am working on letting go of my guilt and this study helped me finally let it go God did not recognize my first marriage we did not get married for the right reason and God was not with our union it was not holy. I'm so grateful for such KIND AND LOVING God who knows we make mistakes. As far as my current relationship thank you for your boldness in telling me justifying sex is not a reason to marry.I am kinda in a bind with this relationship i financially rely on him as a result of consequences for my actions(drugs n alcohol Use)i lost my license that made me a good living. So as of now it would be for money and sex wrong reasons. I do love him but have doubts on if hes husband material I am praying hard for God to show me which direction to go if I am not meant to be with this guy then he will give me strength to end it and will provide financially.I guess im just impatient and want an answer now.I have to practice patience and wait for him to direct me.Thank you for the feedback God Bless have an awesome day going to church now!!
