Missed getting the trash out in time this morning to be picked up...kinda frustrating...but it's a small thing...so I just gotta let it roll...but on to bigger things...my daughter has had a serious attitude lately...I got a call yesterday from an aunt she is staying with saying my daughter was so rude over the weekend to another aunt of hers....I'm just not sure what to do with my child....she'll be home on Saturday...and I think we are going to have to have a discussion on the way home about her attitude and the way she treats people...something has got to give.

I don't know mlg , It appears to me being rude or a bad *a..* attitude is an "In-thing" with kids nowadays , that and besides the fact that about this stage of their development they start testing their "daring" abilities , I remember when my child took a pot-shot at it with me that a couple of times , I just smiled at first , and I smiled again the second time as well , only this time with an "If you only knew" accent . Finally what I did was , I took her to an ice cream parlor (though she didn't want to go , for she knew what was coming) - with a very calm but stern "attitude" gave her a mild lecture and a mild reprimand on what she was doing would get her in a situation she would not like , for example , a whole week of no cell phone , no net , that meant no Face-book , and to top it all , being restricted to the house and then after all that I also made sure to remind her how easy is it for me to wring her neck if she was to continue that , and told her "Oh , by the way , those terms take affect right after we finish our ice-creams and get home"

It worked !

Hmmm vahn, I just might have to try that...I think turning 15 has not only made her older but "smarter" if you know what I mean.

luv ya

It's Friday :) Lots of things on my mind today. We have vacation Bible School at my church this coming week. Think I'm not going to go. Noone asked me to help this time even though I offered. I'm assuming God needs me to do something else. I'm doing the bulletins for our church the next couple of weeks, plus I have an article to write for the area wide church bulletin, so I am assuming that God says that is enough for now :)

Going to go pick up my daughter tomorrow...sure hope her attitude is better...time will tell...I have to give her over to God and allow Him to work on her.

I sure do love God. He blesses me when I least expect it...but what is more...He hears my prayers...and though at the time I may not see what His direction is...when He begins to reveal His plan...it's beautiful and so much more than I ever could have imagined for myself. Sometimes my selfishness wants what I want when I want it...but God works in His timing...cuz He wants to give me something better than what I wanted to begin with :)

The enemy came tromping down my path this morning...and he got me.

He may steal my focus...but he cannot steal my joy in the Lord and he cannot make me stop serving and worshiping God...he gave me a temporary setback...but in the end God wins...cuz I know it's written....

My daughter and I had a talk yesterday...on our way home...she's been really good ever since...and she was my support and encouragement this morning...when I was crying...she says beautiful girls don't cry and she hugs me.

I'm gonna thank God for my blessings and not look at my hurt right now. I am still hurting...but I'm believing God to heal my hurt.

Today has started out as a beautiful day. God's blessings have been flowing and glowing in my life today. I am so thankful He loves me. I am looking forward to my 3 day weekend starting tomorrow. I have to work late this evening...but it's worth being off tomorrow :) I have plans to refresh and relax. I hope to enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit too as He makes me smile and laugh and I just love Him so much.

Awwww I feel so absolutely refreshed...finally got the rest I really needed and peace feels wonderful :) God is soooooo very good to me. I am just so very thankful for those things He does for me. I sometimes think upon all the things He does...and wonder how He could ever find me worthy...yet He seems to. I love growing in Him...and to see the opportunities He provides for me to be of service to Him...brings joy to my soul. I'm so glad He has chosen me.

A friend of mine is dying...he's been suffering for a few days now...I sometimes wonder if it's ok to pray for someone to pass on...but I've had to talk to God...ask Him to take my friend away from His suffering...I believe that I serve a God of miracles...and I also believe that I serve a God of mercy...and knowing my friend is suffering...just hurts...it hurts to loose him too...as I will miss seeing his face...I will miss his help....I will miss seeing him walk Brandie...but I know within knowing that he won't suffer the pain he is in anymore...and he will be with my Jesus...so come quickly Lord...please stop his pain.

God's will be done...in life and in death and in the everlasting....

I will pray for your friend in a moment here sissy.I watched a family friend of mine actively die last year and she was a devout Christian and made death look so "easy" right up until her very last day. There were a couple moments on her 3rd day of passing that I knew she wasn't going pain free completely even with high doses of morphine and it made me wish there was something I could do for her as we watched her lay there and die.But she's in a better place nowas your friend will soon be I pray.God bless you for caring for that gentleman up until his last moments and so much you're asking for prayers for him to pass a bit quicker.A heart of gold you've always shown. You will be greatly blessed for this post about your friend.I have a good feeling about that:) Love ya, Jami

Too much to do...so little time to do it all...I made a list...just gonna take it one thing at a time...til the list is complete....

Sometimes people say things that make themselves look totally ridiculous. They think they will say it as to lash out in a tacky way...but instead one sits back and thinks about how these people are hurting noone but themselves...and I for one...am not going to play the pity party for them...they best find another for that...I have compassion for those who are truly hurting and need attention...but if they are one who whines and complains continually with no change ever seen...then they are best left to God...as there are souls who truly want to change...and work towards change by doing studies, reading their Bible and growing with God...but for those who refuse to do anything...but whine...tsk tsk...

Then there are my friends...those who are dear and precious to me...those who really care about me...and understand that I'm busy a lot but when I have extra time...I will spend it with them :) and when I don't that's ok with them too...that is TRUE friendship!

Well...it's been a few days since I've shared anything...took a trip over the weekend and a couple of days this week...took my daughter and we had a great time.

I am waiting on God at the moment...He started moving about a month ago...and at first I saw it as a crisis in my life...but slowly but surely...it seems to be a blessing instead of a crisis...God sure knows what He is doing...even when I think He doesn't lol

Been some ups and downs with my daughter still...but that's ok...I'm not ever giving up...cuz God is in control of all things.

I want something...ever just want something? Well I want a new bed. lol I know that sounds crazy...but this past weekend I slept in the most comfortable bed ever and I want one just like it...I'm sure it might have been a bit expensive...and I'm going to ask where she bought it....I'm gonna get me one of those...yep I need to sleep like that all the time :)
I know lame huh? rofl but it's a wish...it's ok to wish right?

Ok...so off I go...God is good all the time.

I slept sooo good! Rest is really a commodity for me. Today I have a couple of plans but nothing to strenuous :)

My daughter is going through some things with dealing with a friend's behavior at the moment...she at first I believe was shocked, then hurt...and now she is going through the I don't understand how she can talk about other people doing things like that and then do it herself. I have to allow her to work through these things on her own...growing up is hard...especially today.

I'm happy...I have joy in my heart....I pick and choose my own path according to God's will...and this brings a smile to my day....even when things may not be right around me...and I may be facing trials....I don't let it take away my joy...as no one can take your joy unless you ALLOW them to. So it's really a choice.....our choice to make.

:) *angelbounce*
