Treasure From Heaven

They say a friend's a gift
that you give yourself,
And, in most cases,
I'd say that's true.
But you, my friend,
are such a treasure,
I thank God
every day for you.

God told me that
you were special
When I was looking for someone
to confide in.
He told me I
could trust you,
And on your friendship
I could depend.

When I think about
the friendship we share,
I feel so very
blessed beyond measure.
It's so nice having
a friend like you--
A friend who is
a heaven-sent treasure.
