Be Still My Soul / What a Friend We have in Jesus
Hello Everyone
Prompted by this past Sunday's COOL Church sermon/sharing, The Holy Spirit reminded me of a song performed by the group "Selah", several years ago. Nicol Smith used to sing in that group, along with her brother and another gentleman. She has since moved on to a solo career and motherhood. -- and the group "Selah" still performs with a new female singer. This particular song can be found online for your listening pleasure.
"Be Still My Soul" / "What a Friend We have in Jesus" , by the group: Selah
Be still, my soul: The Lord is on your side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain
Be still, my soul: Thy best, Thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul:
The waves and winds still know (still know)
His voice who ruled them
While He dwelt below
Musical interlude:
Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
I hope you will take a listen.
Love,
Mack
