Heal My Heart

Postby PrincessMcleod » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:58 am

Broken, beaten,
Hurt, ashamed
These are the things
That cause me pain

I have strong walls
Built in defence
Against the things
That bruise and bend

No one knows
About this struggle
Thoughts go round
All in a muddle

I feel so hurt
I can’t describe
I can’t move on
This is my life

Caught up in fear
And doubt and shame
Never ending
Constant pain

I’m sick and tired
Of life like this
Not moving on
Stuck in a pit

I want freedom
Is that too much?
It’s all I ask
I need Your touch

I need Your hand
To guide the way
So I can fight
Another day

Please take away
The hurt inside
It’s building up
And I can’t cry

So many years of
Fighting strong
Hardened my heart
It’s all so wrong

I can’t do it alone
I need You here
Keeping me safe
I know You care

I need You now
To pull apart
All these walls
And heal my heart
In His arms
I will rest safe
With this behind
Wrapped in His grace

Nice poem. I know I have felt stuck before, hopeless really, but life is not hopeless. Keep on expressing your feelings through poetry if you enjoy it and don't be afraid to reach out to people you know would be supportive of you.

To pull apart
All these walls
And heal my heart

Ive heard your cry,
I Heard your plea
surrender to me
I will fill your cup
I love you,
and I am enough

I will take away your hurt,
I will heal your pain
follow me,
and you will be changed =).

Very good writing hun! The Lord loves you, hope you keep posting your poems I know you have more =).
