Time for Reflection

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Time for Reflection

Hello Christianity Oasis, All...

Blessings!

This is going to be another difficult one for me to sort through. But here goes...The Spirit of God is present to lead you through a repentance, or another repentance, or even another repentance. We call a time such as this a revival. Everything done in the past is kicked out and God gives you a time of refreshing. Times like these are precious because they extend beyond church doors into your life wherever you are...from Afghanistan westward around the globe into your life...wherever you are God is there at this time to revive you.

Ok...why is this post going to be difficult for me? I'm going to share some spiritual things about my life in God that are not common among believers...but should be, and are available to those that are willing to walk with God through the repentance He desires of you. Here is how to proceed.

Go to the cross of our Lord. Look at the agony He is experiencing. Look at the crown of thorns on His head, the blood dripping down His face, the iron spikes in His hands and feet. Notice how His torso is slumped...He can no longer push Himself up to catch His breath. He is dying...

Now we all are pretty good about saying Jesus Christ our Lord died for us and such is true. But there is another perspective of our Lord's Crucifixion that is much more important for our soul and our salvation. Has it come to your mind that you are in that dying body on the Cross, that you are also suffering all of that agony? Well...you are...or rather were. You see, we, like our Lord, were foreknown, chosen in Christ Jesus before the world began to be conformed to His image. Well...how so? Faith, by His Spirit, through grace. How does such come about? Repentance!

Rom.2

[4] Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

I'll get to those experiences of mine shortly.

First, we must pray a desperate prayer of repentance. Why? The salvation of our soul depends upon it. Like..."Oh Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior! I come to you now and kneel before you as you are dying on the cross. I don't know if I can yet be saved, but I, like Abraham believe against belief that such can be so! I beg you to allow me to die in you on the Cross, suffer Hell with you in the pit, and be raised up in you a New Creature to the glory of God the Father!

If you prayed the prayer above after me you have just been "really" born again. You will discover, much to your amazement that old things have passed away and all things have become new.

If you have never experienced a deep hunger for the Word of God, that is, for the Bible, you will now. If you have experienced a deep hunger for the Word of God in the past, you will once again be hungry for the Word of God, that is, the Bible. Your eyes will be opened a little and you will see and understand some of the revelations of our Lord Jesus mostly in Books of the New Testament, especially Romans, Galatians, and Ephesians.

You may be encouraged to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit even though you think you have been, but the truth is you most likely haven't. Call a prayer counselor. Pray with the counselor to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in new tongues...

You may find there is an urge in you to give money for the furtherance of the Gospel. That is normal. Give what gives your heart peace to give, nothing more.

YOu may find that you know things that will happen in the body of Christ before they happen...that is.. tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that...you may find that you know what is in the subject matter of the Bible before you even read about it, or a teaching on the radio, internet, TV, or in a book you are reading that is teaching you by the Spirit of Truth. You may find teaching materials that have been purchased by someone else but unbeknownst to that person the book/material was preordained to be in that spot at that time just for you.

YOu may be sitting there reading the Bible and suddenly you might cry out, Daddy! You have just recognized that God Almighty is truly your Dad. You cried, Abba, Father...actually you cried Daddy! The word Daddy just exploded out of your mouth and you do not know how...well...that is the Spirit of God in you, your soul, giving the life of Christ to your soul letting you know that God is your Father now. Daddy!

If you happen to be reading the Book of Romans you will discover some things about your new life that might surprise you lots...you have been chosen to be conformed to the image of Christ Jesus...and to be the first born among many brethren...such understanding comes to you by the Spirit of God...He is now your teacher and you are going to be a student of His for quite some time...forever hopefully...

Here is a new experience for most of you...experiencing the presence of the Word of God in your heart. Be advised that He that is our teacher in the Word of God, that is, the Bible, is also our comforter. And we need Him to be that to us more and more now as sorrows abound in the world.

You may find yourself extremely emotional as you watch some horrific event unfold on the TV. You may wish that God would take you up into Heaven right now and you cry and you cry...but suddenly you feel a sweet warmth in your heart. That is the Holy Spirit comforting you which is wonderful of course...and that sweet warmth will turn into fire in your heart from time to time. That is God protecting you from evil. In a sense you are actually like the burning bush that was not consumed that Moses saw. The fire of God is within you and you are not consumed.

The above experiences were given to me through the grace of God to be of profit to you. The burning bush affect still occurs in my heart several times a month...and I have experienced the same fire to the extreme burning hot in my soul which is located in my dead by the way...that fire was present to combat the devil and even though I don't experience the presence of God like that very often...He is ever ready to defend me and abides in my soul to that degree to act when necessary.

How do I know it is a time of revival? I know it is a time of revival because the Spirit has stirred up emotion in me that isn't normal...and the fiery bush affect has increased dramatically recently and is getting stronger each day.

All of the above experiences have been mine in Christ Jesus. And yet there are more experiences that I have had in the Holy Spirit that you are not ready to walk in. May God, the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comfort you always.

Blessings from God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost to you...receive them.

Love, in Christ Jesus, Saint701.
It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
