Most people have heard of phrase ... The Temple of the Holy Spirit or the Temple of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit also known as the Holy Ghost are one in the same entity. The mystery of the Temple of the Holy Spirit affects you as a Christian tremendously because you ARE the Temple of the Holy Spirit and that being the Truth, simply means that the Holy Spirit lives in you, as it is written in the Bible:
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
But, exactly how and why Christians are being used as the Temple of the Holy Spirit is the question most seek the answer to. The truth concerning how and why you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit is as awesome as it is mysterious and it is clearly explained in the Bible. The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is but one part of the ... Trinity. This is explained quite well by the Apostle John:
For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Jesus is the Word referred to in that Scripture:
The Bible is clear ... God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit Are Three in One. The Holy Spirit has been here from the beginning of time. In fact, the Holy Spirit is the one who responds to God's commands, as He did when God said, "Let there be light."
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved
upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

It is time to further explain ... How you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit which actually means that the Holy Spirit lives in you. Although the Holy Spirit has been around from the start, the Holy Spirit became accessible only after the New Covenant. The Holy Spirit is a glorious gift that Jesus left for all Christians after He returned to Heaven:
16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you
another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know
Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but
ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and
ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it
is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26-27
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will
send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth,
which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been
with me from the beginning.
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the Truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.
John 16:13-14
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come,
He will guide you into all Truth: for He shall not speak of
Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:
and He will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for He shall receive of
mine, and shall shew it unto you.
It is now the Temple of the Holy Spirit Story Time ... It was 53 days after Jesus was crucified for our sins which means it was 50 days after the Resurrection of Jesus (Easter.) This day is known as the Pentecost which was a Holy Day. On this particular day, the followers of Jesus were all gathered together in an upper room. This would be when the Holy Spirit would introduce himself to the Apostles (As Jesus promised) and those present in a most unusual manner:
2 And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a
rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were
sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of
fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Do you think the fellas were uplifted after the very sorrowful absence of Jesus? The promised Comforter had arrived. Since then, most Christians have been aware of the opportunity and have been enjoying His presence in their lives. However, there are some who are not aware that Christians are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit lives in us.
We have lots of time to discuss the SON-derful truth and how to apply it to your life, but please allow me to share the Holy Spirit danger with you at this time. Our Lord Jesus warned Christians that once the Holy Spirit lives in you, the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Knowing this Truth, it would be good to know how someone would commit Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit, to avoid falling into that eternal trap. The Bible says that it is impossible to be forgiven, if one "experienced" the Holy Spirit and after receiving the gift chose to "fall away" or decide to go back to their old ways, and pretend away the Comforting promise. The Bible says it would be like you crucifying Jesus again.
4 For it is impossible for those who were once
enlightened, and have tasted of the Heavenly gift, and were made
partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of
the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them
again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of
God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.
Now, keep in mind that the above warning is directed at partakers of the Holy Ghost. That means those who have connected with Him and received Him. This does not mean that Christians will not fall down again in their Christian walk, it simply means we should not fall down, fall away and stay away. All Christians fall down. One needs only get up, dust off them britches, repent and carry on.
Always be careful with thoughts which are planted in your mind and heart in various ways, because the devil likes to have Christians believe that they are condemned for past mistakes or live in fear of a future fall making them feel like they have have fallen from God's Grace when the Truth is just the opposite ... It is so very obvious that God seeks ways to bring us into Heaven and is certainly not looking for ways to keep us out.
16 For God so Loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
But, how does one get "introduced" to the Holy Spirit as to be able to experience the SON-sational sensation that you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit lives in you? According to Jesus, all you have to do is believe in Jesus:
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water.
39 (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they
that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet
given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
And ask God for the Holy Spirit.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
You are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit lives in you. Ask and acknowledge it. It is written that the Holy Spirit will actually speak to your mind and heart, if you will listen.
Wherefore as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear His voice.
There is also the issue of the Spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit:
The Temple of the Holy Spirit Gifts ... The entire 1 Corinthians, Chapter 12 speaks of these Spiritual gifts and explains why God gives these gifts to Christians who are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. They are His voice, hands and feet. The intent of the gifts is so that we can use them to reach and teach others about God to edify God and not ourselves.
This Temple of the Holy Spirit Bible verse Scripture says that the various administrations require different gifts, but we all serve the Lord and are of the same body of Christ. Here are some of the gifts ... Prophecy, Knowledge, Wisdom, Faith, Healing, Miracle Working, Discerning of Spirits, Speaking in Tongues and the ability to interpret tongues and many more.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to
another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the
gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another
prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds
of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

Here are some of the administrations that God assigns to those whom He chooses and who He gives the gifts of the Holy Spirit to ... Apostles, prophets, teachers, miracle workers, healers, helpers, governments, different tongues.
And God hath set some in the church, first Apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
We have been trained by the standards of society to be so single dimensional observing the physical world but unable to understand the spiritual matters. Some souls seem to have difficulty believing concepts that make no sense to the temporal and limited way of thinking. The answer is to choose to broaden and renew your mind which will broaden the Spiritual horizons.
The Holy Spirit was/is the potent power to heal. The Holy Ghost is the power that kept the lions from "dining" with Daniel. The Holy Spirit of God is the power that Moses used to divide the Red Sea. The Holy Spirit is the power in David's sling that sent a stone upon Goliath's forehead and brought the giant to his knees. The Holy Spirit was in the form of a dove which landed on Jesus, at our Lord's Baptism. The list goes on:
