Revelation 2:10 (King James Version)

10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

James 1:12 (King James Version)

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Praise God!

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

"'The LORD will fight for you,
and you shall hold your peace.'"
(Exodus 14:14)

For emotional messy stuff, I find it can work for me just to hold my peace . . . be quiet in order for God to clear me of that stuff and get me in His peace, instead.

Psalm 121:5 The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not hurt you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The LORD keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. 8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

"And who is he who will harm you

Comfy, there is such wisdom in holding your peace during highly emotional times...it brings the fruit of self-control. It's difficult, but as you have shown... it CAN be done, by the grace of God.

The promise I chose today is:
Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.

Psalm 13:5, NLT

I am using this as my confession today for trusting and as my promise because He has already rescued us.

Isa 42:5 This is what God the Lord says-- he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
Isa 42:6 "I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
Isa 42:7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
Isa 42:8 "I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.
Isa 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you." before it happens."

Thank you, Kimberly . . .

"'Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.'" (John 14:27)

This promises that with Jesus we have His own peace > "My peace", He says > the peace our Groom Jesus is enjoying on Heaven's throne and is sharing with us, also. And in this peace we have His own power almighty to keep our hearts from being troubled and from being afraid.

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
