Hello everyone,
My name is vahn and I am new in this part of "town" (forum), was just browsing through , "just dropped in just 2 see what condition my condition had been"

I am a recovering alcoholic & by the Grace of God been sober for the past 10 yrs. relying solely on His Grace & Guidance on my day 2 day recovery process that every alcoholic knows will go one 4 the rest of my life . The more I prayed the stronger my reliance on Him became , till the day came ,sorry to say, when I thought " Let me first find out who this Guy realy is b 4 I start taking any drastic actions" yes I doubted Him.

Now, I understand, that this forum is for the ones Called , I may even not belong in here altogether , but some questions I do have . One of them is "What do I do to be ready when I do get called on" b'cause I sure dont want to miss it !!!

See it was nothing but an act of Providance that the obsession w/alcohol was removed from me, I had nothing to do with it, in fact I dont think I even wanted for that to happen, all I wanted to do was to crawl into some pigeon hole & die quietly! Some time later, I found myself asking my sponsor (mentor/adviser). Why me ? he said not you vahn, them , the new guys, He brought u here for them !

10 years later, I find myself browsing OASIS forums and I stumble on this page . It was only after some heavy duty prayer and meditations that I found myself @ OASIS 2 begin with. Now I am asking what if, what to do, how do I prepare, or even if there's any preperation at all ? For the story of my life had Always been " One day my ship will come in" but I was waiting @ the airport.

Let it also be Known that I am fairly new in Christian walk, especially this one , In fact I am still @ step 11 on the 14 day Path.
Like it here , wanna stay here, dont wanna miss a thing >

Vahn, it's so awesome to see you seeking answers in what comes next, and what do I do to be ready. The answer is to be a willing servant. Sacrifice selfishness and do what the Lord asks you to do. Don't be a Jonah. If the Lord asks, who will I send, who will go for me? Step up and say Here I Am, Send Me. That is the biggest step in ones calling.

There is a Many Called Few Chosen study that will help you become better acquainted with what to do if you are feeling the calling. I suggest that you finish the Counseling Study first and then move on from there. Of course only if you choose and feel that is what the Lord wants you to do.

Hi vahn Great to see you visiting this forum, as it definitely seems that God is nudging you towards greater things in His service.

What do I do to be ready when I do get called on

Brother, you are already doing it You are building and strengthening your relationship with God thru the 14 day Counseling program, allowing Him to help you work on areas that need attention, and filling your mind with His truth. This is important as your foundation, and will definitely help you in finding and answering your calling.

Next step will take you even further and build on the foundation that is being laid now.

Looking foward to seeing you step into the MCFC program. God has awesome things in store Keep holding on tight to His hand, and let Him lead you where He wants ya.

Howdy, vahn! You started doing it on approximately Sunday January 11, 2009. God's been prepping you every day since then. Now that you are done with the Christian Counseling, you can start the Many Called Few Chosen study. Then there is another one called Spirit of Truth.

You can try the Virtuous Women's study, but idk how well you will do on the quiz. Last guy I know who took it, failed miserably.

Go figure.

Now that you are at the shipport, rather than the airport, let's see what this baby can do!
