5/14 Choosing the Lord over all

Postby cl0udstr1fe » Thu Jun 04, 2009 8:54 am

Hello Bretheren,

Today I would like to take a moment to discuss Righteous Anger. There is a lot of Evil in this world, and I often feel righteous anger to see the way the world treats people. For instance, in my own life, I work every day, 40 hours a week with overtime ususally, and still I am behind on bills rent, and struggling to keep food in my house. TO the point where i have been eating only one meal a day to ensure the small amount of food I am able to afford will sustain my children until the next check. Even teh good Lord said that a worker deserves his daily wages, and in America in this world the overseers do not pay the laborers enough to LIVE. That is cause for righteous anger in my book. And than you see people persecuting, abusing, mistreating all walks of life. God's green earth is treated like a trash dump ( in fact alot of God's green Earth has become that) people are hated for superficial characteristics. Lust, Money, and Power are placed above Love. This whole world seems to be going to the dogs so to speak, and I feel righteous anger at the injustices of our times. Yet I feel bound by the system. I must support my family and to do so I must submit to the system. Only Christ offers escape spiritually, I pray he will show me a better way to BOTH serve him faithfully and support my family/be a good father/husband.

I love you bretheren!

Sebas,
You are right that there is much mistreatment in this world.
It can be frustrating to be bound financially so tightly. Many are feeling that strain right now.

Don't let it steal your joy.
Focus on the Lord instead of the struggles.

God bless you and your family.
Sending up prayers for you. *Pray*
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Cloud you know the enemy wants you to feel anger. He places all these things in our world, to try and steal our focus away from God, and try and give us a reason to justify being angry. In reality, we have to just know that God is in control, and that the enemy is a looser and cannot win. We have to continue to fight the good fight of faith, accepting that God will provide. I have lost everything before cloud, all my "worldly" possessions. The one thing that I was allowed to keep was my daughter, and I am so thankful that God gave her to me, over all the worldly possessions I owned. What's more amazing is when at a time I had nothing, God was providing me with everything. I know that God has a reason for everything, and He has showed me that He will take care of those who stay faithful to Him.

Keep doing the steps cloud.

luv ya

Hello Cloudstrife *hug*

God bless you this day.

Cloudstrife, sorry to have to tell you this, but very few of us have ever experienced Righteous Anger. What we experience is anger due to our flesh being challenged or denied. I know of what you speak, and yes it is a huge challenge, but trust The Lord in that He'll direct your path and provide as long as you continue to seek Him.

This economy is getting harder and harder to maintain a level of living that we've all come to know and love. It will take faith, prayer and blessed creativity to overcome. Remember, The Lord knows your pain, He knows your challenges and He will make a way.

Several years back I was sitting in my kitchen on a Saturday afternoon and suddenly I started worrying about my daughter -- she is an adult. I started worrying whether or not she was truly Born Again, or if she was just appeasing me when she said the prayer of Salvation years before. I started praying so hard for her. When suddenly The Lord said to me: "Stop praying for her out of fear! Don't you know...I love her more than you do?!!!"

Cloudstrife, I'll tell you the same. The Lord loves your children and your wife, and He loves you more than you do. Trust Him. Trust Him and do the best you can, knowing He is right there. He has blessed your hands and your heart and your mind. Use them to His glory, and the rest will fall into place.

The anger you are experiencing is as a result of fear creeping in. Our natural/carnal man often resorts to using anger to overcome fear. Choose the blessed fruit of the Spirit instead.
Ask The Holy Spirit to read with you Galatians 5: 16-26.

I am praying for you, Cloudstrife, and so are many others.

God bless you, Cloudstrife.
Love,
Mack
